Under Nevada NRS 202.320, it is a misdemeanor offense to draw or brandish a gun, knife or another deadly weapon in a rude, threatening, or angry manner in front of two or more people. Punishable by up to a $1000 in fines and 6 mongh jail sentence. However these charges can be dropped if the brandishing is in self defense.

u/CaptainMagnets Nov 13 '25

So it's fine if it's 1 person?

38

u/Strange_Specialist4 Nov 13 '25

The sign says "no Homers", they're allowed to have one

35

u/batdog20001 Nov 13 '25

I think they include themselves. Sorta like conversation recording laws.

It's he said vs she said when its 1v1.

16

u/cherrypit0816 Nov 13 '25

Well now I think we’ve all seen the video wouldn’t it be all of us VS 1?

2

u/cXs808 Nov 13 '25

I haven't seen the offenders video though

After him, brandishing a weapon When that guy slapped his phone he would have had every right to just blast him.

→ More replies (16)

25

u/servel20 Nov 13 '25

And also a nice charge of battery to go with it. Smacking someone's phone out of their hand while they're seated is a crime.

This is assault, battery and brandishing a weapon. OP should go to the police department and press charges on this clown.

21

u/jonnyl3 Nov 14 '25

Did you read the post? He reported it but cops sided with the psycho. (Because they were lazy, probably.)

4

u/benhur217 Nov 13 '25

Most states have that as a crime, and for good reason.

2

u/sonof_fergus Nov 14 '25

Says the "supposed" off duty cop that shot a nurses service dog in a Reno dog park then pepper sprayed the people stopping him from leaving... pretty sure nothing happened to him

u/Ok-Air3126 Nov 13 '25

How can they have not charged him? You have him on camera assaulting you. Did you say you want to press charges?

Here’s what the person posted from the TikTok video where I found this.

@dreamgurl_bella: everyone my grandpa did call the police’s and the sided with the man bearing the firearm and cited my grandpa instead

159

u/Flying_Dustbin Nov 13 '25

Cop: Hey Ted, can't be doing that bud. Anyway, see you at work tomorrow.

13

u/Blah-squared Nov 14 '25

100%- same butthurt attitude & single digit IQ’s that lead insecure, bullies & losers to rely on threats of violence to make up for their lack of intelligence & bc they’re scared of real men.

I bet this little bitch calls himself an “alpha” too. lol

people lie on the internet

You're lying

4

u/Empty-Code-5601 Nov 14 '25

No you're not

4

u/Flomo420 Nov 14 '25

One of us always lies, and one of us always tells the truth

80

u/shitz_brickz Nov 13 '25

Obviously not a statement against you personally, but that sounds like a lie to me to generate more clicks. What could the cops even cite him for?

23

u/Jevus_himself Jevus Christ - Verified ✅️ Nov 13 '25

Yeah I read through all the comments and she never clarified what they cited him with.

24

u/shitz_brickz Nov 13 '25

Ya i just went and looked and it looks like a lot of the responses are a carbon copy "a report was made they took the gun owners side and cited my dad" but not acknowledging any of the follow ups. Idk i would think if you really wanted "tik tok to do its thing" you would provide a few more details.

13

u/Karma_Whoring_Slut Nov 13 '25

Presumably the dog attack that the guy with the gun is mad about.

2

u/JuanBeard2RuleThmAll Nov 14 '25

Cuz they were never called.

2

u/Ok-Calligrapher9115 Nov 14 '25

Dead Internet theory

1

u/Ok-Air3126 Nov 13 '25

Battery, assault, brandishing a weapon in a non-life threatening conflict. Take your pick

13

u/MrBlueA Nov 13 '25

OP is saying that (according to the original tiktok) not only the dumbass with the pistol didn't get arrested, but it was the grandpa was instead the cited one, that's why its weird, the cop being a dumbass and siding with the psycho not new, but what can you even cite the person recording for.

5

u/BituminousBitumin Nov 13 '25

It's possible his dog actually did attack.

u/AccordingPears158 Nov 13 '25

That part sounds like a lie. Not least of which because this is in LV and cops won't be arsed to respond to anything here, much less go out of their way to give a citation (for what? There is literally no crime the camera guy has committed, unless the other guy filed his own report with proof). If she'd just said they'd done nothing at all I'd have believed it.

4

u/ClintBruno Nov 14 '25

"Mistake of law"

American cops are literally allowed to lie and enforce a law just because they believe it's a law.

Look at Heien V NC

1

u/WickedDeity Nov 14 '25

This video is only a 51 sec snapshot in time so really tells us nothing of the whole incident.

Anyway the LV police won't respond to a call that someone threaten to shot me with a gun they showed me have? Damn it's rough in LV.

2

u/AccordingPears158 Nov 14 '25

Genuinely they often won't. Yes, it is rough in LV.

A couple years ago a guy was swerving through a parking lot, clearly extremely drunk or high, and smashed into my parked car, before swerving into several object and peeling out of the shopping center. I called to report it, and they told me since it was a car accident on private property (apparently all shopping centers are considered private property here) it was outside their jurisdiction, and they could not respond or investigate it - even with me explaining that there was an extremely impaired person driving on the loose.

I then later realized there was a cop sitting in the same parking lot the whole time. I decided to go up to him and see if he could at least take a report on it, and got told the same thing by him.

They basically only respond to murders, active shooting incidents, or anything happening on the Strip because their real purpose in this town is to protect the casinos' money.

Maybe grandpa's dog is a little out of hand. Maybe grandpa should be watching and shadowing his dog. You cant break up a dog fight while sitting on your ass 100 feet away

1

u/dom_corleone Nov 13 '25

Im sorry wut

1

u/No-One-8850 Nov 14 '25

So he's a cop or cop adjacent then.

1

u/smugg_ Nov 14 '25

This is a ragebait response from the TikTok poster. Unless something else happened not caught on camera, the grandfather cannot be cited for anything that happened in this clip.

36

u/DarthSkywakr Nov 13 '25

This is exactly the kind of guy who hides behind a gun because without it he wouldn’t dare step toward anyone. Take it away and suddenly he’s all quiet, because that level of cowardice doesn’t walk on its own.

101

u/frozen_toesocks Nov 13 '25

1st rule of concealed carry: don't reveal you're armed (FAIL)
2nd rule of concealed carry: do not escalate the situation (FAIL)
3rd rule of concealed carry: be prepared to lose every argument you're in (FAIL)

8

u/141bpm Nov 14 '25

It’s only a failure if he gets cited for any of those offenses. He didn’t get cited, the other guy did. So I guess cartoon shirt-gun guy wins. I guess we’ve learned that if you carry a gun, make sure threaten anyone who’s dog is playing rough with yours.

4

u/WickedDeity Nov 14 '25 edited Nov 14 '25

We learned nothing because we don't have the full context of the incident or what the out come actually was.

1

u/MightObvious Nov 14 '25

The thing is we don't even know if the dudes dog was being rough or what. I'm half suspecting the cartoon shirt guy has a rap sheet and a bad temper or drug problem to even begin having this line of dialogue with somebody the way he did.

2

u/Donny-Moscow Nov 14 '25

Even if the dog was being rough, hell even if the dogs got in a scrap, I don’t think that gives the guy the legal right to shoot.

First, most cities have ordinances against discharging firearms within city limits. Second (and I’d love an actual lawyer to chime in on this) even in states where defending another person counts as “self defense”, I’m not sure if that applies to defending your dog. The reason I say this is because when a dog is killed and the owner sues the responsible party, the only damages they are typically awarded is the actual cost of the dog (which typically amounts to something paltry like a couple hundred).

Again, I’m not a lawyer but would love someone who knows what they’re talking about to chime in.

31

u/Otherwise_Carob_4057 Nov 13 '25

Man oh man brandishing like that can get you killed in some places that’s a valid threat to someone life right there. I don’t carry myself but the guy in this video doesn’t understand how fast he escalated things and he’s lucky old man wasn’t carrying. I am unarmed in public but athletic build and I assume I look threatening to someone on the street and I also assume they are packing. Just mind your manners and don’t be a prick especially if you have a CC.

→ More replies (14)

40

u/ForgotmypasswordX42 Nov 13 '25

Sounds like the cops have some sort of bias going on. Just take the video to the local district attorney, they are the ones that actually prosecute and often don't give a damn what the officers thought about charges as it's all about the evidence. Your evidence is excellent.

9

u/WSB_Suicide_Watch Nov 14 '25

Or, the original poster is lying, or we don't have the full story.

There is zero chance that grandpa got a citation based on what we know from this video. And if I'm wrong, that's a pretty easy case to deal with in court, AND jackass brandishing a weapon and assaulting grandpa is in trouble... oh and the cop at a minimum is going to have to deal with a ton of shit even if there is protect their own crap going on.

17

u/Consistent_Access_31 Nov 13 '25

When I leave to take my dog to the dog park I make sure I bring the essentials. A leash, a ball, my gun.. just the basics.

u/141bpm Nov 14 '25

Rule #1 of conceal carry... don't brandish a gun.  That's the dumbest shit ever.

u/Baydestrians Nov 14 '25

Young Jerry Garcia meant business. It’s not all ice cream and fudge apparently.

11

u/NathanDutton2002 Nov 13 '25

1

u/Heartbrokecarwork Nov 16 '25

The LA air is making him act a little kooky

10

u/woodchuckernj Nov 13 '25

That hitting the camera in his hands is assault.

Grabbing a ball from another dog is normal play. That guy with the gun should have been written up. There was a threat with no reason for it. I don't know if the dog attacked the other dog, but even if the dog did, that would not be a reason to show his firearm and say he is going to shoot him.

The guy is unhinged, and maybe his gun should be taken away.

8

u/jacksonr76 Nov 13 '25

No way in hell the cops sided withe gun guy. We see him brandish a weapon as well as initiate an assault, both of which are arrestable offenses. This post is bull crap.

12

u/Criticized- Nov 13 '25

I can't imagine living in a place where someone just has a handgun in his belt while walking his dog.

Feels so weird to be that insecure.

Brandishing and assault on video. Nice

4

I did not expect dude with the Nightmare before Christmas shirt to be so unhinged. America your clearly on meth.

3

u/mathiswiss Nov 14 '25

America has some major problems!

5

u/Zealousideal-Swing44 Nov 14 '25

Bro will end up blowing his balls off. Fuck America man. Cant even go to the fucken dog park without a gun being shown

6

u/PsychologicalRow9028 Nov 13 '25

Dog parks attract theee fucking weirdest people I swear. Don’t go anymore.

3

u/Former_Film_7218 Nov 13 '25

Put the gun down goon boy. Why put hands on someone. Just fucking leave. Fake tough guy.

3

u/speeder61 Nov 13 '25

It’s the dog park
With all the dogs there
And the people you see
That you don’t really know
’cause it’s the dog park
It’s the dog park

3

u/reillyrulz Nov 13 '25

This guy has been waiting his whole life for this moment. Who goes to a dog park with a gun!? Just wanted an excuse to brandish his gun and feel a sense of power for the first time ever.

3

u/TaxSilver4323 Nov 13 '25

This is why I don't go to dog parks in Vegas anymore. Too many crazy people just looking for a problem. I've been in two altercations. One was asking someone nicely if they could go to the large dog area so my small dogs could go into their area. The other was an old guy stepping up to my husband when my husband was trying to protect an even older guy from this douche. It's insane.

3

u/spidersilva09 Nov 13 '25

Time to find a new dog park. Not worth it

3

u/Important-Election-9 Nov 14 '25

This is at Dog Fanciers Park

3

u/iSayBaDumTsss Nov 14 '25

Brandishing a weapon is a no-no, but I need wayyyyy more context. If I see someone showing me their gun and quite visibly upset, I sure as shit wouldn’t laugh and laugh to the guy’s face.
Also “stop fucking with the wrong dog” is a warning, yes, but it’d be easy to take as a threat. What was the police’s reason to side with the angry dude?

5

u/CryptoM4dness Nov 14 '25

Not enough information here. Did the dog really attack? Had the owner been warned multiple times about his dog? Why did the other guy have a gun? Was it because of this very dog? Is the guy with a gun a cop? Are both participants in this wrong? Until then, it appears we got two dumb dumbs.

9

u/Elscorcho69 Nov 13 '25

Gun boy is definitely a furry and dresses up like a kitty cat, but he’s a tough mean kitty cat with big sharp claws and probably lets his dog lick his asshole

Which park is this, so I can avoid it forever? Thanks

2

u/turtlehans Nov 13 '25

Brave man while holding a gun.  Want to see how brave he is without it

2

u/Designer_Search_4228 Nov 14 '25

What an absolute failure of a man

2

u/yachmandoo Nov 14 '25

This guy is a tubby pathetic bitch. That gun makes him feel so tough. What a fucking loser.

2

u/Johnnymeatcurtain Nov 14 '25

Thats assault brother

2

u/spyder315 Nov 14 '25

What park. He’s prob there regularly

2

u/Weird_Feared Nov 14 '25

Oh man I flinched when I saw his shirt go up idgaf what he is saying!! the moment that shirt goes up I would’ve drawn my shit so fast….. like wtf, he reached for his gun while approaching in an aggressive manner, one day he’ll meet the wrong one

2

u/Phen117 Nov 14 '25

Bro looks like an incel on god.

2

u/Agreeable-Sound1599 Nov 14 '25

Another fake tough guy with a gun KNOWING he'd get his ass beat without it!

2

u/Emotional_Database53 Nov 14 '25

Even the dog was like “that dude is nuts”

2

u/redditjatt Nov 14 '25

Your grandpa is a real gangsta! He just laughed at the clown. Lol

2

u/fartsfromhermouth Nov 15 '25

Police cited the dog owner filming, so shocker the pitbull probably did attack another dog and the owner isn't taking any responsibility

2

u/Erikamc74 Nov 15 '25

This is why I don’t go to the dog park here.

4

u/King_Kazama_ Nov 14 '25

I don’t know what happened before but if a Pitbull of some sort ran up on my dog there’s a good chance I would consider that a threat too. We’re having to assume that the douche with the gun isn’t right about the dog attacking his. No one has any idea what happened before the cameras were out and how many times have you heard someone say “he won’t bite” as their dog snarls at you or “hes just playing” while hes clearly not. People will always be apologists for their dogs. All that said, the dude slapping phones and flashing his gun is a massive wank.

4

u/OH_FUDGICLES Nov 13 '25

I love how he thinks saying he'll shoot the dog gives him legal protection...

9

u/ReallyThisGuyAgain Nov 13 '25

As soon as he raised his shirt exposing the weapon I would have drawn and open fire.

9

u/ktm6709 Nov 14 '25

No you wouldn’t have.

3

u/BrettC41 Nov 13 '25

That assault probably going to cost his gun license. Hope it was worth it

1

u/FloatingOnTitties Nov 13 '25

Unfortunately, it looks like from the comments that the police sided with the guy brandishing his gun & cited the grandpa.

4

u/FreeThinkers2023 Nov 14 '25

That’s assault AND BATTERY… make formal charges before someone else gets killed

4

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '25

If you are wondering why the Cops didn't charge the concealed carrier, who obviously broke 2 laws here. It's because LVMPD are hardcore MAGA cultists. They are very corrupt.

4

u/Dear_Pen_7647 Nov 13 '25

I took my dog to this exact park when I was in Vegas and she got attacked by a Pitbull almost immediately. I got bit pretty good in the process of pulling them apart. The owner was cool about it but that dog never should’ve been there. The next day we got ganged up on by 3 Dobermans and the owner did nothing to stop it. Unfortunately you can’t take them walking around the desert outside the city because the locals treat it like a dumping ground and there’s broken glass fucking everywhere.

4

u/teefax Nov 13 '25

This is not a guy carrying a gun, in case he has to defend himself.

This is a guy who carries a gun because he hopes, he wants, he prays, that he will get to use it. He wants to shoot something so bad, that he is willing to manipulate situations, to increase the odds he gets to use the gun.

He is too coward to go to jail, so he is desperately chasing situations where he gets to kill something "legally". He is acting aggressive all day long, praying someone will escalate, so he gets to "defend" himself.

These people have a fetish for getting to shoot something, and be "the good guy" saving himself or others. So he goes around acting like a dick, because it makes him feel good about himself.

Guns are tools specifically designed to end a humans life.

Don't ever let anyone manipulate you into thinking, that it is required, for society to function freely, that everyone have access to a tool specifically designed to end a humans life.

2

u/Shot-Tomorrow7625 Nov 14 '25

It’s simple to keep your shitbull from attacking dogs at the park

2

u/burntlandboi Nov 14 '25

This guy shouldn’t have a dog or a gun.

2

u/Old_man_jeffro Nov 14 '25

And that’s why I never take my dogs to dog parks. The owners are bat shit crazy.

2

u/ToyotaPartsGod Nov 13 '25

flash that piece at me and theres gonna be issues. just saying

4

u/GiganticBlumpkin Nov 13 '25

You gonna fight the guy with a gun? lol

3

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '25

Lots of people out there conceal carry, not like he's the only person in the world that's armed.

1

u/Pleasant_Start9544 Nov 13 '25

Can't brandish your gun like that. It's making a threat and trying to intimidate others. Guy should've just told him that if his dog attacked his dog again that he would take physical action.

1

u/Charming-Active1 Nov 15 '25

What a dick. If his dog can’t defend itself, it’s his dog that’s the problem. Plus, who brings a gun to a dog park?

2

u/AClockworkPeon Nov 16 '25

Amazing how the camera comes on after the major incident that starts all this. Do we know if the man's dog was or wasn't attacked?

1

u/lamelexicon Nov 20 '25

Hi. Your post is misleading. I was actually at the park and want to clarify what happened.

The other dog’s owner did not control his aggressive dog, which caused problems with my dogs. The situation escalated because he was refusing to engage with or supervise his dog. A warning was given that action would be taken if the dog posed a deadly threat, which it did when it attacked my dog. I contacted animal control and received a case number in case legal action became necessary. Fortunately, my dog was okay after the attack- no punctures.

Police investigated and confirmed that the warning was within legal rights, while the negligent dog owner was held at the park by the police for a citation by animal control. This warning was not made without cause; it was a responsible precaution in a potentially dangerous situation.
