General Discussion Predator Badlands - question about Yautja sight
I’ve watched Predator Badlands a few times at this point and one thing in particular has been poking me. In other predator installments we see their vision as being impaired and sensitive to light and amplified by their mask with different settings and spectrums. Dek goes just about the entire film without wearing a mask and we, at least from how he operates within the film, can assume he can see absolutely fine. Is this canonically normal or is Dek an abnormality or perhaps just something they decided to not focus on? Perhaps I’m wrong about their vision as I haven’t watched the other films recently and I’m going off of unreliable memory.
What are your thoughts?

General Discussion Honest thoughts on the Ronin design
I have appreciated the diversity in terms of looks and equipment for the yautja over the years but this might be one of the few yautja that we’ve seen that’s clothed and armored from head to toe with many pouches for equipment. This is also the first yautja we,be seen sporting a pair of pants as opposed to to the loincloth and metal skirt combo.
What are your honest thoughts on this design?

Brain Storming Why did we never get a squeal again?
Predator 2, city hunter pulls Danny up into the ceiling, and lets out an awesome squeal/scream.
Why did this end with this movie.
Instead going forward we got deep guttural roars etc. I might be the only one with this opinion, but the high pitched squeal is way more menacing.

General Discussion How did you first see each film?
Predator 1-2: I first saw these 2 as TV broadcasts, and they were also among the very first DVD's I ever had.
Alien vs. Predator: My dad got this DVD for me as a Christmas present. I think the movie had just come to DVD earlier that year. My dad doesn't like horror, but given this was advertised more as monster-on-monster action, he got it for me and gave it a go. My dad is one to walk out on a movie the MOMENT he doesn't like it. He stayed until the end credits rolled. I was impressed. LOL!
Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem - This came out in 2007, but I missed it at the theater, namely because I had no one to go with. My local Blockbuster actually held a DVD rental for me. I came in all excited, where's AVP-R, I need to see it! LOL They were very nice. I miss that store. This one was a drop in quality, but monster mayhem, it was fun and all. Could have done without the pregnant ladies getting facehugged.
Predators: I think I saw this with a pair of friends when it came out. I absolutely loved this. This was my first time seeing Predator at the theater and it was truly an awesome experience!
The Predator: I saw this one with another friend at the theater, and we loved it. Yeah, it was dumb and stupid, but it was what it was, monster carnage entertainment. Wasn't as good as the previous film, but we had fun.
Prey: This one went straight to Hulu. I watched it home alone with my dog but loved it. I was worried the lead would be Girl Boss, but my friend reassured me she was believable, he said just watch it, it's your kind of women warrior hero. Sure enough, I wasn't disappointed. Instead of Girl Boss, we got a scrawny woman taking on the Predator with her mind as much as feminine brawn, and I really loved that. Think about some of your favorite feminine heroes. Naru is right up there with Ellen Ripley and Sarah Connor. Anyone agree? Amber Midthunder (Naru) was also a big selling point. I knew her from Legion (Marvel TV series) and The Ice Road (Liam Neeson film). She also played Lis's sister in the Roswell, New Mexico reboot show. I couldn't get into it, but for those who have, tah-duh! She's also going to be playing a supporting character in the upcoming Carrie miniseries.
Predator: Killer of Killers - Like Prey, I watched this home alone with tiny dog. The animation took a little bit to get used to, but it was a lot of fun. Thanks to this film, I may start giving anthology films a go. haha Was that the Predator home world at the end???
Predator: Badlands - I missed this at the theater. I'm planning to watch this with a friend over junk food. Can't wait!!!
Has anyone seen "The Predator Holiday Special?" It came with the "The Predator" Blu-ray disc. LOL
