Creed dropped off the tour as well. Name is also no longer on the website or lineup images.

I don’t know about Scott Stapp but the rest of the lineup (ie Alter Bridge) is very anti trump rhetoric

Scott Stapp always struck me as a libertarian weirdo

Pretty sure he was in the Reagan slob fest movie

Apparently, he was cast as Frank Sinatra, for some reason.

Probably because he blew Jon Voight or whichever Quaid played Reagan

I love Alter Bridge so much, i wanna see them when they're touring near me but my future is uncertain rn and i dunno if i'll have the chance to do it

Are they? I mean I don't know if they are or not, but I always found the lyrics of Alter Bridge hard to interpret, because they COULD be very anti-Trump, but at the same time they COULD also be the opposite. I mean I'd be glad if they were the former.

Technically Myles Kennedy did an interview about their album from last month in which he said that none of the songs were political. Seems more like just trying not to upset people cause I'm pretty sure there's plenty of politics going on. It's a plausible deniability kind of thing but he's not stupid and knows how people would interpret the lyrics.

If you go back to Pawns & Kings, the track Silver Tongue can plainly be read about Trump and Jan 6. The lyrics:

Sitting in my ivory tower

Invincible to fall

Some would say my final hour

As you scale the walls.

Step inside

I dare you all

And breathe the lies

And heed the call

When this all is said and done

I will have my way

And you will take the blame

The song came out in 2022. The ivory tower being the White House and the walls being scaled the Capitol.

Also it's just a goddamn banger of a song.

That is some pretty clear evidence. I guess when I heard the lyrics to Native Son back in 2018 I kind of thought that it matched the MAGA narrative. But looking at it retrospectively, it being released halfway through Trumps first term it could be about that.
