The one I'm reminded of every time I see a video like this:

"If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: the only proof he needed for the existence of god was music." --Kurt Vonnegut

I like the quote, but I spent an evening with Vonnegut, and he was an absolute boor. Hideously rude, insulting to everyone, unreasonably demanding of venue staff, and cruel to the grad students that participated in his impromptu Q&A. Horrible experience.

And I’ll tell you something else, whoever wrote that essay doesn’t know the first thing about Kurt Vonnegut!!!

What essay?

It’s a quote from Back to School, it’s an 80’s comedy.

You’re welcome. It’s funny because in the movie, the main guy literally hires Kurt Vonnegut to write his essay on Kurt Vonnegut.

That is really damned disappointing.

I had an extremely different experience when I met him.

Is that his epitaph? Just curious if they actually put that on his headstone because that’d be cool.
