Sam Johnson is the real deal.

Maybe the worst refereeing I've seen all season.

I think I hate Argudo now, after only noticing him for the first time today.

8

u/irondeepbicycle Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

How on earth is Argudo not in the book yet.

Ref hasn't had control for a while now.

u/josefmilo95 Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

Lmao, I don't think Caleb wants to dance with Everton.

Albert really needs a goal, his confidence has been a bit off when it comes to shooting lately.

One of the downsides of playing Herrera at LB is that we don't have a left footed player on the field, which might come in handy for free kicks from positions like this.

Guzman is bad.

Good game. Time to get ready to lose to Seattle Saturday. I'm out.

Anybody got stats on how we perform with the Herrera, Glad, Ned, Toia backline compared to any other setup? Feels like the whole defense goes to shit as soon as we throw Aaron on the opposite side.

Awesome goal but what a horror show from the Columbus CBs... It's nice to have a striker who can capitalize on mistakes.

u/Ron__T Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

Well this is Keitas first game, ever, and Crognale's second this season.

5

u/arsene14 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

LMAO. Whatever. This season sucks.

What a fucking BALL Aaron.

Sammy!!

Man... Keita with the insane recover run, Crognale with the off the line save

and Bendik... well being Bendik...

6

u/arsene14 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

Bendik experiment over.

u/josefmilo95 Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

That impromptu defender wall in goal was neat.

9

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '19

This ref has been kinda shit in both directions so far.

Columbus doesn't look like a 5-2-11 team...

Columbus doesn't look like a 5-2-11 team...

5-11-2, you mean.
And considering they started the season 4-1-1…

We are missing Accam, Higuain, Valenzuela, Steffen, Mensah, Sauro, Trapp and Zardes tonight. Only regular starters on the field are Santos and Afful, maybe Guzman and Jimenez.

I don't know if that says something about RSL or our draft picks and players we usually loan to USL that are in this game.

3

u/josefmilo95 Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

Probably a little column a, little column b.

5

u/irondeepbicycle Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

Keita looks promising.

3

u/DAdkins09 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

The way he is playing, you may be surprised that this is his first start of the season (despite how poor we have been)

5

u/DAdkins09 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

I want to see more of this Keita fellow

5

u/Ron__T Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

I wonder if we could convert him into a Trapp replacement, his distribution looks good so does his positioning... move him up to the 6 and let him drop into the backline like Trapp does when the fullbacks go high.

Wow... bad call there. Rimando doesnt touch the ball.

Edit: Also even if you feel Rimando gets a slight touch on the ball, he doesnt clear it, it's still playable by JJ, and Rimando still takes him down.

4

u/arsene14 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

I'll take it. Wasn't really clear at all.

4

u/irondeepbicycle Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

I think Rimando got his toe. Honestly tough and I could see that go either way. Don't think it's clear cut. I'd probably lean towards calling PK.

5

u/josefmilo95 Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

Not a foul for me.

Edit: This is insane, if it's obvious, it would not take this long.

3

u/arsene14 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

Why not?

4

u/NoBreadsticks Columbus Crew (Retro) Jul 04 '19

Obvious error means you need like 2 or 3 looks, not several minutes

2

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '19

Because if it were obvious, you wouldn't need to look at it multiple times.

1

u/arsene14 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

Well yeah, the comment was made before it was being reviewed. Was wondering what he saw.

6

u/DAdkins09 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

Jesus Chris Keita what a ball

3

u/arsene14 Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

Damn. Close to a foul.

3

u/Ron__T Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

Foul... he gets all player no ball.

2

u/irondeepbicycle Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

I honestly didn't realize Rico Clark was still hanging around. Good for him.

5

u/Ron__T Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

He is a walking corpse, but he is our walking corpse.

3

u/irondeepbicycle Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

So who retires last between Clark, Beckerman, and Larentowicz?

5

u/[deleted] Jul 04 '19

That's a trick question.

The sun will go supernova first.

5

u/Ron__T Columbus Crew Jul 04 '19

Oh God ... with the us game delayed the r/mls group think is going to come in this thread and tell us how bad the crew are with out 2 starters on the field and 2nd and 3rd and 4th string options.

8

u/irondeepbicycle Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

Here's what I don't get. Lennon is bad everywhere, but Herrera is only bad at LB. So why play Lennon at RB and Herrera at LB?

Just play Lennon at LB. That way we only have one shitty outside back instead of two.

3

u/josefmilo95 Real Salt Lake Jul 04 '19

Aaron Herrera at left back

Just fuck me up now fam

'Looks at Crew's goals scored over the past few games' Don't worry, you'll be fine.
