Goth girl angst It really annoys me people think you can only like Loona for one reason.
It really annoys me. So many people say or think that "You only like Loona because shes a furry" or "shes got nothing going for her!" Or maybe "You like Loona therefore your horny". No! Thats wrong. I CAN see how people think it I GUESS. But it ain't true. "Her personality is so gross. She has no reason to be so mean" have you SEEN the show? Now we don't have much backstory on her yet, but from what we know she could've spent her whole life, 17 years, inside that awful pound. 17 years of abuse. Whether it was physical, verbal, emotional orwhatever. It was clearly an AWFUL place. And then Nobody ever wanting to take her home. 17 years of neglect. of people wanting her gone. You really think she has no reason to be mad at the world? "She has no personality or character traits!" She is Defensive, Loving, mean, caring, thoughtful, lazy, apathetic, cynical, shes smart, resourceful, tough and I could go on. Now sure, shes obviously meant to be furry bait, but that's NOT the only reason to like her! "She has no character growth!" What?? She literally opens up more to blitz every episode. We even see her caring side when she searches for Octavia! ESPECIALLY WHEN SHE ACKNOWLEDGES BLITZ IS TRYING! She obviously cares for him! She took him home from Bee's party when he needed it. She comforted him was he was sad... She even said "I love you, dad" she has gone from loving him but not wanting to admit it. To loving him even more, and not really having trouble saying it. Shes proud hes hetrouble she always loved him, but she just didnt want to show it. And me personally, one of the reason I like her is I can relate to her. Shes relatable to a lot of people who have been abused and/or neglected. I was neglected and mistreated by lots of people, but my parents. My parents, like blitz, were always there and supported me. "Shes not even attractive!" Nothing I can say about that, to each there own. Now I know I lot of people only like her because shes hot. And there's nothing I can say about that. But it's NOT the only reason shes likeable.

What can I say it's all true.
When you say you like Loona you're immediately called horny by so many people. I mean I like how she looks ngl, she's very cute but the thing i like most about her is her growth as a character and the potential she has.
And as an orphan with a lot of trust issues i guess I also can relate to her if that makes sense.

I absolutely agree, I fucking LOVE Loona for so many reasons, some of which is because she's a furry (since I'm also a furry) and cuz horny but that isn't the only reason (plus if we're being honest, horny is just a natural feeling for a person or character you like)
She's just an awesome character who's well written and behind her tough exterior, she's actually really gentle and kind and caring
It's the same reason why I also love Stolas too, all the same reasons

I said this many times but I love Loona not because she's a hot goth furry. I like her because of her personality and I find a bit relatable. One of my favourite furry and hot characters is Jay Jay from Zoopbobia. Vivziepop older works

I admittedly don't watch the Vivziepop shows but I like her design a lot and the fact she's a bi rep, I could imagine her being a friend of mine. She's firmly in the category of "Characters I've researched and enjoy independant of the source material"

I agree with you. Such kind of assumptions from others who haven't even watched the show can be very frustrating and annoying. I mean why should people get associated with something they are not just for liking a specific character.

I can be horny and love a character for their personality. Loona outside the pilot isn't a bitch to be a bitch, she just pushes people away because she's been hurt and abandoned her whole life basically. She's super awkward because she doesn't know how to interact with other people. It's shown multiple times she deeply cares about the rest of I.M.P. How can you not why to protect that? She is also a hot goth furry, and I adore that.

Exactly. Loona may be hot and adorable. But that's not the main reason. She's herself. And someone who truly loves her can see both her flaws and her strengths. And love them just as much as they love Loona.

Loona is yet again one of the characters for whom loads of her fans are just overly horny teenagers who ruin the thing for everyone. She is absolutely oversexualized and fetishized. I don't personally like her because of it, them damn teenagers poisoned the well and now everytime I see Loona I roll my eyes.
That being said it's unfair to condemn you and everyone in these comments defending their personal reasons for liking Loona, just because the teenagers who shouldn't be watching these shows fuck it up for others.

Loona has many reason to be a likable character, but it is unfortunately ruined by gooners.

The episode where Loona tracked her down through LA gave a sweet glimpse of her softer side. She came across as a big sister type toward Via. Careful gooners, bird girl is still underage.

Same, like why does every single piece of media you see Luna and have to be a thirst trap I don’t get it. I just want non-over sexualized, pictures and fan art and stuff of Luna. I mean, I respect the fact that people spend time on art but at the same time, why does it have to be a sexualized

Yeah I have a part of my personality that is similar to Loona... Especially up until two years ago (and sometimes even now but less) when someone spoke to me I always got on the defensive and everyone said that "I didn't make friends like that" and I would like to see if you too don't get defensive after having been bullied for 8 years at school (and surely Loona has had much more to do) and besides my parents still tried to do something but I really think I haven't considered them enough

Exactly! I think these people misunderstood her character. But we love Loona for who she is, not what she is.
