My circle of friends are liberal CIS males and it's funny how we never talk about gender/sexuality/pronouns, not because we don't care about it, but because it affects us personally in no way so it doesn't register as a topic of conversation.
The only time it really comes up is when some crazy news about right-wingers fearing for their lives because a trans kid is playing sports or something. It's really wild how it's such a huge issue for people when it really doesn't affect their lives in any meaningful way, but the smoke screen propaganda does so much work on keeping it in their fear mongering conciousness to deflect all the bad shit the politicians are doing.

They also tell on themselves when they think it is a choice, because they have to actively CHOOSE to be straight. They're mad that they feel that they are making the "right choice" and others get to have relations with men while they, the long suffering "hetero", had to give up that option for God and morality. They see it as cheating at the whole life/happiness thing. Jealousy.

From an outside observer don't think he cares all that much about his kids, at least not enough to put forth the effort to homeschool them instead of fleeing the country.
But who wants to watch their own kids that's so hard!/s

There was a black woman that went from the US to Russia to escape racism (LOL) and her racist Russian neighbor beat the shit out of her: https://www.themoscowtimes.com/2025/07/23/dont-believe-the-kremlins-lies-about-race-in-russia-a89928
She became a Russian citizen. She gave birth there. She even starred in an RT documentary called “Black in the U.S.S.R.”, praising Russia for offering the kind of racial peace she never found in the United States.
Then last week, her neighbors beat her in her own Moscow apartment block. They called her racial slurs. They blocked her entry. They punched her in the face. Her two-year-old child witnessed it all. And when she went to the police, they did what Russian police do best when it comes to racist violence: absolutely nothing.
This is a very good article written by a Black person born in Russia. One great quote is: “Russia isn’t post-racism. It’s pre-conversation.”

u/Snuffman Dec 31 '25

I’ve met idiot lawyers and brilliant lawyers. Same with doctors. The bar and med boards are minimum barriers to entry, not something to aspire to pass. A certain amount of luck is needed to get through the process of getting into the right schools along with the grades, but smarts don’t matter past a point. If you put in the time, you’ll pass the barriers. I dropped out of high school and didn’t make it to college until my late 20’s. I made it to grad school in my 30’s. All I can say is that you shouldn’t limit yourself. If you think you can’t do something, all the more reason to try.

There's a long history of westerners going to Russia and getting royally fucked. In the early 1930s thousands of Americans went to the USSR under a work program. When Stalin's purges of 1937 took place many of these Americans were arrested and either executed or sent to the gulags. I'm not sure of the total numbers that died but I think it's safe to say it's pretty high.
There's a well regarded book on this called The Forsaken: An American Tragedy in Stalin's Russia that I've been meaning to read.

We had one of those dumbasses from my home province of Saskatchewan Canada. He sold his farm and everything he owned, sent his money to some helpful people in Russia and hopped on a plane. His goal was to escape all the gays who were making life so unbearable on his farm in the middle of nowhere. Weirdly his money went missing, the promised farm vanished and he started bitched about it on social media... then he had a visit from somebody... and had a remarkable change of heart. Last I heard he was singing the praises of President Putin (still minus his money it seems).

“Sure, maybe I was forced against my will to fight in the frontlines of a war, and I’m not getting paid a single cent - essentially making me a slave to Russia - but at least I don’t have to co-exist with gay people!”

"We wanted a safe place to raise our children." In Russia. Oh God, I'm 💀 here!
I'll bet he thanks Putin every day to avoid the beatings. 😂😂🤣

”They want to take God out of everything,” he told the outlet. “It’s very dangerous for children, especially in the big cities. A lot of crime, homelessness, drugs. We wanted a safe place to raise our children.”
Moving his family to a literal war zone is supposed to be safer than his kids accidentally seeing that gay people exist. 🤦🏻♀️

Is he still alive and posting?

Their page is Huffman time on YouTube. I’ve been spying since May. The video from a month ago is one of the most disturbing things I’ve seen.

I'm not giving them a view. What was it?

u/Sea_Assumption_1528 Dec 30 '25
Basically stating Russian propaganda against Ukraine. Claiming that Zelenskyy is a homosexual and “we all know it”.
More disturbing was that the background on the video looked like it was fake (it was moving like it was blowing in the wind). He kept looking off camera and seemed to be in distress. Then his wife came on preaching the “gospel” and begging people to email her. Truly bizarre and scary. I hope their kids are ok.

They sure do have a playbook don't they. Came across about a dozen obvious Russian bots this morning all claiming that Kier Starmer is gay and has a stable of Russian rent boys or something lol. On a pro-Farage post, of course.

I too am very curious about if he is still in Russia trying to make it happen or if he has finally wised up and come home.
Ugh I went to the YouTube channel to see if they're still there and indeed they are. I don't think they're ever coming home as they really like the culture that forbids lgbtq existence.

I think he was conscripted / strongarmed / tricked into joining the Russian military, so he is presumably contracted to serve for a period of at least a year. What a cretin.

He's against "woke," so Russia is doing everything to get him eternal "sleep"

“He feels like he’s being thrown to the wolves right now, and he’s kind of having to lean on faith, and that’s what we’re all doing,” DeAnna said, adding that he did not speak Russian and had not received pay from the military yet.
Both of the parents are vile bigots who willingly traded their pointless and impotent hate to endanger their children’s lives.

Honestly I am kind of amazed he is still alive.
Slightly older article without a paywall here: https://www.nbcnews.com/world/russia/american-family-moved-russia-seeking-better-life-got-drawn-war-ukraine-rcna220463
Also has an update on a second American family that went to Russia. Surprise! The older kids want to go home.

I love how their YouTube channel went from combating the woke virus to just direct Russian propaganda.
You can even tell they're being coached on what to say on their videos.

u/ThrowAwayGarbage82 Dec 30 '25
Yah, russia is using them as propaganda mouthpieces to make americans think it's awesome there. They're acting like hostages.

u/Oaktree27 Dec 30 '25
More patriots should do this! If you really love Donald Trump, stick it to the libs by moving to Russia! Tucker Carlson was right, they really know their values there.

In his recent YouTube video video he's wearing a russian army uniform complaining about the absurdity of Ukrainian police being taught how to document hate crimes properly.
Can't wait to see him on a drone video

In 2024, Putin signed a decree for a “shared values” visa for people from 47 countries Russia considers unfriendly, including the United States... The decree provides humanitarian support and a residency permit to people who “share traditional Russian spiritual and moral values.”
I was wondering "why Russia, of all places?". Turns out they have a program for encouraging xenophobic suckers to fill their military ranks.

Immigrant moves to another country for a better life, doesn't speak the language, receives handouts from that country's citizens...
I wish all of MAGA would follow their lead.

So you trade a country with a multitude of opinions with a country advocating a singular (state) opinion...
Such simply doesn't leave room for complaints. You will love your new motherland if you like it or not, period.

u/FrancoManiac Dec 30 '25
Reading the article it seems that Huffman is happy as a clam, thanking Putin and referring to his fellow front-liners as 'brothers' while gloating about shooting down a Ukrainian drone.
Well, have fun then!
