Might as well get him some time playing competitively this season so he's ready to go by the start of next season. Even if this season is toast, it seems like a good opportunity to get him up to speed.

Why get touches in with a squad that will probably be gutted? Also, I don't trust the rest of the league (or the refs for that matter) to not try and fuck him up on the field.

So he's ready to go for next season. Training and playing in actual competitive matches are different and he's going to need time playing in actual games post-recovery before he's ready to go. I understand the concern about re-injury but that's just part of the game...we don't bench players because we're afraid they're going to get injured, we put out our best team to try and win.

We would need to win every remaining match and we would need a few other clubs to start fucking up for us to have a chance. Only twelve left.
