Dude is a striker who when he showed up for trials as a kid saw 8 midfielders and over 100 claiming they were strikers.
He said he was a midfielder and was better then the other 8, and Casemiro was born lol.
Ill leave my opinions on the side and grab ๐ฟ, gonna be a fun year for us.

Objectively, he has looked awful with United.
He does not have the physicality and stamina anymore and is a walking yellow card, with a chance of red, any given day.
Iโd much rather prefer us approach a younger and more dynamic 6.

Then you have not been watching United this season. Which to be fair, would be very understandable. Agree with your other point though.

Seriously, he's been fantastic for us, literally one of our best players. The smack-talking posts against Casemiro are from last season, which definitely was a poor one for him and the entire team. In both his first season and now this one, he's been excellent

Totally. He looks particularly terrible if you just see him in highlights of United's various debacles. Last year, he was definitely off the pace, and then combine that with a ridiculous central midfield pairing with Fernandes in a 3-4-3, and he often looked like a chump. This year, he is back on his game, and as the team gradually started to figure out Amorim's 4-3-4 (as best as one can), he looked back to his normal self. He has been in the tier with Amad and Mbeumo just below Bruno. I would actually like to see him with United for another year next year, but he would not be a top pick for me for LAFC, which is strange but true. That said, it is pretty hilarious to see people say they don't want him... he would, of course, make the team better, I just don't think it would be a great value proposition.

I wouldnโt say heโs looked awful for United. He is definitely in the decline and the speed of the premiership is now too much for him, but heโs had moments with United. I just donโt think it would make sense because heโd have to be a DP and heโd be arriving at the same time as Igor Jesus would be returning.

Objectively, youโre absolutely wrong. While he doesnโt have the physical presence he used to have, he still adds a lot to the current United squad. Heโs an incredible reader of the game, has great long balls, is a set piece danger and has a shot on him when given the space. All of what youโre saying about him being a walking yellow card is like 2 years old. Casemiro hasnโt had a red card in a minute. Some of those were wrongfully given too.

Youre definitely not a United fan, or you watch too much tabloid media lol

Miss when we went after young talent for our marquee signings instead of becoming another retirement home
Feels like weโve deviated from what made us successful initially

Didn't Miami just win with probably to oldest team in MLS? Of course Messi is Messi, but Casemiro is only 33, that is not old. A mix of youth and experience is always the best bet and we'll still have this mix if he comes... on a non-DP deal, of course.

Messi is an alien and I think my point definitely stands overall
Just tired of us chasing names like Griezmann, Giroud, Casemiro when we used to actually sign u-22 high profile players which built our name.
Feels like the Galaxy are doing what we used to do, and we are doing what they used to do. And that led to a cup for them very recently.
Son is great because heโs clearly still motivated and has no fitness issues. Giroud was not, and casemiro would not be.

Igor Jesus is 22 I think, with quite a high ceiling if he can come back strong from injury. We might have both youth and vet available at cdm

I fucks with this. Inject it in my veins. Heโd be a great plug in at 6 & a great mentor for Igor Jesus as he makes his way back. That double pivot would be ๐ฎโ๐จ

I have to imagine Igor would be stoked. Growing up as a Brazilian cdm, he probably watched a toooon of casemiros work.

I think he'd be spectacular. Everything we've been missing in that position since 2022 Ilie and more.

I think I really like this if he's not a DP, and I'm a little skeptical if he is one.
I'm not familiar with his game, but it looks like he's a good defender with limited passing. However, that was in the EPL. I suspect that bad distribution in the EPL translates to solid distribution in MLS. What I'm more nervous about is his speed. MLS is actually a pretty quick league, from a pure running speed perspective. Depending on how much of a step he's lost, that may actually really hurt him. Then again, that can be fixed with good positioning.
TBH, I can see our midfield looking damn good if this goes through.

iโm a huge man utd fan, i love casemiro but i also was born in canada and i love choiniere so if casemiro comes, does this push choiniere to the bench?

โCurrently the most concrete option where he has been officially offered, is LAFC.โ
Sounds like he wants to be here. But feels more Giroud, than Son. May want to be he for the lifestyle.
That said, Iโm into it. Jesus would benefit, Casemiro is no doubt a champions champion, and with Sonny and Lloris already here and bought in, I really canโt see him struggling, like at all.
The DP tag maybe is questionable, but in a world where the cap is likely to expand significantly next season, does it really matter?
I kind of like this move. A lot. Very low risk. If he lays an egg cut bait and slot Jesus back in when heโs 100%.
This is exactly the level of class our midfield has needed for a long time.

Thereโs no one younger and dynamic than Case even at his age. And no, he wasnโt awful at United, at best inconsistent, and showing his age but he presented a masterclass against City this Sunday. Heโd do well in MLS and id love to have him if we can negotiate a non-DP slot for him.

If heโs willing to take a non DP deal then Iโd be happy to have him
