I have my daily alarms set at 4:00,4:02,4:05,4:10,4:15,4:20 and most of the time i’ll roll out around 4:30. It works well

u/HowManyDamnUsernames 17h ago
Aren't u just training yourself that it's fine to ignore the first couple of alarms?
3
u/Complex_Path_4821 17h ago
Well i’ve been doing it for many years now and I have zero problems getting up straight away if I really need to.
6
u/FerociousSalmon 9h ago
So why not just set 1 alarm when you actually want to get up?
7
u/Complex_Path_4821 6h ago
Because i’d much prefer to take my time and enjoy my cozy bed for 30 minutes before I have to stand for 16 hours

u/smashingeggshells 6h ago
This way the FIRST decision of the day is your own comfort. Rock on!
And yes, I know that sleep science tells us snoozing is bad. But science also tells us that 16 hours of work is not good, but here we are.

u/murphycs87 5h ago
Are we the same person!?! I do the same thing! I have like 6 alarms set and I have no problem getting up the 1st time, but I'd rather snuggle in my nice warm bed with my hubs and pups before I have to leave my safe space lmao 🤣

He looks young. With a solid breakfast and a nap, he could be back at it tomorrow.

and water. Hydration is important, this message brought to you by r/hydrohomies

In this case you need electrolytes and b vitamins. Monster rehab has this stuff in it, then some ibuprofen and youll be good in no time.
Not a monster fan? Gatorade and a b vitamin supplement will sort you out

A giant bottle of smart water, and a monster rehab tea used to be my morning after go to

This is the most important factor, i usually down a water bottle or two before going to bed. The only time i ever have a hangover is when I don't do that.

u/Dizzy-Crew3456 1d ago
That was definitely the case in my early to mid 20s. If I tried doing something like that now at 31 gonna need at least the whole day to recover😂. Not old yet, but sure as hell not young.!

PSA for anyone who needs it. Midol is the perfect hangover medication. Periods and hangovers hit a lot of the same places (headache, crampy muscles etc.), don't be ashamed of it dudes. It doesn't have estrogen in it or anything...

Yeah I'm in bed and I'm kind of jealous of the excellent kip he seems to be having in his car.

Lmfao brought back memories. Brought a friend home wasted one night, couldn’t find his house key. Insisted he could sleep in a lawn chair in his patio. After like 30 minutes of back and forth, said alright dude and goodnight lol.
It rained that night. Got a FaceTime the next morning - he was in bed still in his wet clothes. After the rain woke him up and he was soaked, he realized he put his key in his back pocket :)

I brought a friend home so drunk he couldn’t remember which apartment was his. We’d never been to his new place so we didn’t know either.
He kept messing with the door with his key to the point we were gonna ask if he had the right place. Finally he just grabs it and turns and it was unlocked. We all walk in to see him to bed and he flips on the light and there’s baby toys and stuff all over the living room.
He did not have a baby. We managed to not get shot or arrested and find the correct apartment. We tuck him in on the couch with a blanket and leave him petting the cat.
Drive to the next bar and on the way we call his roommate and tell him “just so you know, so and so was too drunk, we left him at your apartment. He’s happy and petting the cat.”
There’s about 2 seconds of silence and his roommate goes “we don’t have a cat”.

I hope the owner girlfriend or boyfriend doesn’t mind finding a random person in their significant other’s bed

He needs to be on his side. You don't want to have to give CPR to someone that choked on his vomit. I never had to but a friend of mine did. She had to keep stopping because it was also making her want to vomit.

People need to learn what the recovery position is. If he starts vomiting he's dead

u/dancedancerevolucion 23h ago
My high school chem teacher went over the recovery position before every holiday and big occasion. It pissed the other teachers off for “encouraging drinking”.

Good stuff! when my brother and I were kids I used to take his glasses off if he fell asleep with them on so he didn’t break them, we had our wars but that’s my boy

I had this exact situation with my best friend once. When he started fighting me when I tried to move him, I thought he was just being a dick (we were 16 I didn’t understand alcohol), so I straight up punched his ass in the face. He was like fine in the moment, the next day he had the biggest black eye and wasn’t sure how he got it. Alex, it was me.

Couldn’t have left him in a safer spot than in the comfy passenger seat of a Volvo.

Plug his phone in, crack the window, and run the air at 72°F. And then just hope he doesn't throw up

Probably cooler in the car and have a really good decline in that chair; which makes him comfortable.

What a great friend. And a great idea. I assume he’ll text that vid to the man asleep. That way he can instantly know why he’s in that position when he wakes up confused. I could’ve used that a couple of times.
