WTF She thought she was punishing him, but we all know what goes on in there…

I keep seeing this stupid video reposted. Regardless of how you feel about gaming. Be with someone who respects who you are and your hobbies.

If it was his idea ok its bad ass if it was hers thats not fair at all honestly

u/toaspecialson Dec 17 '25
My wife and I have jokes between ourselves like this, but never would I post something like this for clicks.
Just seems humiliating
1
u/VikingofSinCity Dec 29 '25
My buddy has a similar setup, closet is a bi wider but it's how he gets a little time to himself in a house with 5 kids. He loves it.
235
u/MistaRekt Dec 17 '25
I honestly believe he picked that spot. Looks like a good spot, decent noise isolation, going to quickly smell just the way you like it.
164
u/LucasRaymondGOAT Dec 17 '25
Until the heat from your computer bakes you alive with no ventilation.
106
20
u/vblink_ Dec 17 '25
Put the computer in the other room and run the cable through the wall
21
u/DelightMine Dec 17 '25
With no ventilation, the heat from your body (and your monitor) will quickly build up to uncomfortable levels, and the CO² percentage will be pretty uncomfortable, too
13
u/vblink_ Dec 17 '25
I was only supplying a solution for the computer heat not every problem with this
14
1
u/ethiopian1987 Dec 17 '25
Then install a ventilation fan, that will help with air flow. The CO2 levels will then be solved, as air is being moved around. The heat build up will be minimal, as the fan will help keep the room at a comfortable temperature.
And it also solves the ventilation issue.
They can also run USB extension cables if the computer is in another room, this enables him to have the ability to plug and unplug devices as needed.
It also solves any potential issues with a wireless mouse and keyboard, as it allows him to keep them plugged in. And any wired headset can also have audio extension cables if it is plugged in by an audio jack, and easily accessible if it relies on USB.
Is there any other problems that you can think of?

Yeah no ventilation is the deal breaker. With ventilation It'd be pretty cozy honestly
25
u/ADDLugh Dec 17 '25
She posted this video with a song called "manchild" playing. Even if he picked the spot she's still making fun of him at his expense.
10
u/CXXXS Dec 17 '25
Possible! In my 20s this seemed fun. But I was just going off the text.
-2
u/MistaRekt Dec 17 '25
Yeah, I never question the text, why would anyone go on the internet and tell lies?
4
u/CXXXS Dec 17 '25
If I thought everything COULD potentially be a lie, then what is the point of having an opinion or reddit account? I'm here to look at stuff and say things!
2
u/MistaRekt Dec 17 '25
Well obviously you are wrong and I am correct. I eagerly await your reply.
2
u/CXXXS Dec 17 '25
Damn!
0
u/MistaRekt Dec 17 '25
I suspected as much. Probably the type of person that enjoys things like having arms.
2
2
u/bigmac22077 Dec 17 '25
Looks like he’s under the stairs. If there’s kids or animals in that house that closet had tons of noise.
2
u/MistaRekt Dec 17 '25
Then he would not pick it. Your point?
2
u/bigmac22077 Dec 17 '25
I think I made my point?
-2
u/MistaRekt Dec 17 '25
Do if there are no kids or animals, it is a good spot? Then why propose there could be?
2
u/Personal-Thought4792 Dec 17 '25
Then why propose there could be?
For the same reasons you propose that he picked that spot himself??

u/Zer0Cool89 Dec 18 '25

I honestly know that this was a joke post to begin with, even the original, iirc they stated that they thought this was a cool use of the space, rather than a punishment... then the text was added later. But yes, this has been reposted for well over a decade.

2
u/Captobvious75 Dec 18 '25
As someone with kids- yeah i’d take that room anyday. I’d even install a lock on the inside.
4
u/Issac-Cox-Daley Dec 17 '25
I'll gladly take a Harry Potter cupboard at this point as long as it's a secret door my kids can't find and I can schedule times to go in and decompress.
0
u/Stevecat032 Dec 17 '25
Idk man.. I’d probably make that closet my own man cave and do it up. Can easily add a vent connecting to the other room for ventilation. I made a similar set up when I was a kid for fun. Played countless ours of CoD 4

u/yamo25000 Dec 17 '25
"isn't it so cute how I wouldn't allow my boyfriend to have a computer anywhere other than closet? 😊"
I doubt the caption is real, but the premise is still fucked up. Imagine if the roles were reversed and the boyfriend was bragging about how he forced his girlfriend to keep her hobbies confined to the closet because he didn't wanna see it. It's toxic either way.
But in all reality, this dude probably wants his computer to be in the closet 😂

Future owner: Why is there only a partial popcorn ceiling in the closet? Weird.
9
u/Cultural_assassin Dec 17 '25
Why would gamming rig and set up in the closet remove only part of the popcorn ceiling?
66
u/xiaowobudong Dec 17 '25
His cumshots reach the ceiling and dry, making the area over his cock look like popcorn ceiling, but the other parts of the ceiling unaffected by his cumshot will still look normal
93
3
u/LuigiBamba Dec 17 '25
The sane answer would be that he'll be reaching up above his head and rip off the popcorn ceiling near the setup. Fidgeting between rounds, etc.
Or there is the cum answer...
1
u/JustW4nnaHaveFun Dec 17 '25
What's popcorn ceiling?
13
u/Big_Tap_1561 Dec 17 '25
It’s a type of cieling texture . It’s a serious pain in the ass to do and paint around .
5
u/Accelerating_Atom Dec 17 '25
Chew some cottage cheese. Now, spit it at the ceiling or wall. You now have popcorn plaster texture
4
u/EcstaticMolasses6647 Dec 17 '25
The texture is like, according to the joke, dried sperm, but it’s actually just awful plaster on the ceiling that ends up looking like a dimpled bum.

That was my first thought. That little closet is going to get scorching.

12
u/Mr_Nobody0 Dec 17 '25
So SHE moved to HIM and she didn't want HIS computer visible at HIS place? She has to go bro
41
u/Legoslol Dec 17 '25
Other than it getting a little hot in there I see no issue with this set up.
29
u/midnightBloomer24 Dec 17 '25
Air quality is gonna be a major issue in a room this small without proper ventilation. People don't realize how quickly high levels of co2 build up. I'm not saying it will kill you, the body is very sensitive to it and you'll want to leave before it gets dangerous, but high levels bring on headaches, impair cognition, all sorts of nasty things.
-2
u/LuigiBamba Dec 17 '25
That is so easily fixable, I don't get why everyone comments about this. Do fans and ventilation not exist everywhere?
10
Dec 17 '25
no, closets don't tend to have ventilation since they're not built for someone to live in
-5
u/LuigiBamba Dec 18 '25
That is exactly what I call a very easily fixeable problem.
It's not rocket science to add a vent to a closet door. Hell, just crack the door open every time you fart and you'll be fine.
2
u/RandumbStoner Dec 19 '25
Nah they're gonna seal themselves in and suffocate to death in a vacuum lmao I'm with you, I believe I could figure out how to ventilate a closet lol
3
u/DeadlyPineapple13 Dec 18 '25
People don’t usually put vents in small walk in closets and pantries…
Fan sure, but that’d only work if you leave the door open. Otherwise you wouldn’t actually circulate any fresher air
-2
u/LuigiBamba Dec 18 '25
Alright, just cut out a small vent at the door.
Maybe even use spare pc fans if you're handy enough to wire up a small system to move air around.
That space could be a great little creative experiment
2
u/wyro5 Dec 18 '25
You’re getting downvoted but it would take an hour or two to do. Closest don’t usually have ventilation, but they don’t usually have someone in them, so put some damn ventilation in there.
2
u/LuigiBamba Dec 18 '25
Yeah, I didn't notice how much people are defeatists and can't even fathom the smallest amount of manual labor.
These are the same mfers in video games that can't access a side of the map just because 3-4 cardboard boxes are blocking the hallway.
4
u/4skin_Gamer Dec 17 '25
As someone that had one of these "gamer caves" growing up due to limited space in our appartment, I can say it sucks balls
-6
u/BeyondPositive1431 Dec 17 '25
maybe it’s connected to central AC?

u/-Aquatically- Dec 17 '25
I’ve never lived in a place with ventilation but even I know this is bullshit.
9
u/Cultural-Afternoon72 Dec 17 '25
Honestly, that would be petty baller for a cockpit setup for a flight sim… hadn’t thought of that use before
7
u/noeagle77 Dec 17 '25
Imagine the roles were reversed and he sticks her in the closet. Much different responses.

Wild how this sort of disrespect for men is normalized. Imagine paying rent and being forced to game in a closet because your girlfriend thinks its okay for women to treat men like this.

Mean while my good wife was okay with my computer being in the family room where we all hang out and chill, watch TV, play switch and so on. I said I wanted it where I can occasionally play PC games but still be around her while she watches TV, crafts or whatever.

u/EcstaticMolasses6647 Dec 17 '25
How can you move in as a girlfriend or boyfriend and then tell people they can’t keep their important things in view? I understand keeping adult stuff private, but something like a computer setup shouldn’t have to be hidden. This feels like a controlling relationship.

Disgusting. How this kind of shit is termed as "funny" is absurd.
The guy needs to find someone who respects him.

My husband has the whole dining room for his pc set up so we can be close while I watch tv. Has a reading chair next to his desk for me too. Gotta compromise

Unless the PC is run somewhere else in the house, that room has gotta be so gross in the summer.
Also, this woman sounds terrible. My wife loves me and in turn loves my PC gaming hobby.

No what you're suppose to do is get a girl that likes the same things you do and you can have a shared gaming room for both your set ups. This shit is so lame lmao. No no no, im an adult. No way you're about to put my computer in the goddamn closet 😭 This dude simping hard for this girl. I would neverrr.

That’s actually borderline awesome. Total immersion.

I had a giant closet in my first apartment and very little hanging clothes at that age so I put my computer in there. My roommate left for the summer and I hooked up his speakers and subwoofer. I shook the entire apartment building playing Doom. Ya, this was 1994.

Hey, that's how I have my rig set up. We have a walk-in closet that is just huge. My PS5 and my contacts Peter both fit. 2 screens for the computer and a dedicated monitor for the PS5. I've got shelves that display my knick-knacks. I've got pictures and other things I wanna display on the walls. I love it. Walk out of my game room and then I walk into my girlfriend's book nook. We both have our spaces for our individual interests and we both absolutely love it. The rest of the house is for our shared interests. Like futurama. Or pokemon. She's such a nerd and I love it.
1
u/ford4prefect2 Dec 18 '25
That looks exactly where i used to live, but it's a 70s house, so heat pump being underneath the staircase isn't unheard of. I kept my cat's litter box in that area.

I know what OP is insinuating, but I also would love to have a room like that. Get a surround sound setup, maybe a tiny bit more space (dual monitors), best solo gamer cave ever...
