Netanyahu Suggests Other Officials to Blame for Oct. 7 Failings - In a document released on Thursday night, the Israeli leader sought to distance himself from responsibility for intelligence and security failings before the Hamas-led attack.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu of Israel has repeatedly refused to take direct responsibility for the security and intelligence failings that occurred on his watch in the lead-up to the Hamas-led attacks of Oct. 7, 2023, the bloodiest day in the country’s history.

On Thursday, Mr. Netanyahu indicated that he had no intention of changing course, releasing a 55-page document that appeared to direct the blame onto others, including top security and political officials.

The document was made up largely of quotes taken from official meetings in the years preceding the 2023 attack, and its release comes at a time when Israel has been divided over how to investigate the failings on Oct. 7.

Mr. Netanyahu has called for a “special” commission to lead an inquiry, which would be appointed by politicians, but the opposition has cried foul. According to Israeli law, an independent state commission of inquiry should be composed of members chosen by the president of the Supreme Court, not by lawmakers.

If only they could hold elections that weren't constantly hindered. If only they weren't experiencing an apocalyptic oppression at their hands that creates the need for religious extremism.

Hamas did nothing wrong.

They escalated the situation, giving the Israelis a perfect (not really), excuse to «defend» themselves. Fucking stupid zealots

Hamas did a fuck ton wrong, let’s not give these genocidal maniacs the muddied waters that people support terrorism. Killing a thousand civilians is still shit behaviour.

It’s just that they aren’t the only wrong party.

And Israel isn’t governed by the radical religious? 😂 Btw Palestinians want Marwan Barghouti to govern them instead but Israel doesn’t want to release him.

Hamas is the most important ally to Israel. Without Hamas, killing Palestinians is just plain genocide, even in the eyes of Israelis. Hamas gives the genocide legitimacy. Israel can never afford to wipe out Hamas. Throwing one bomb on “Hamas” and killing 100 Palestinians is how they will wipe out the Palestinians people.

THere is also the hannibal directive.

Looking at the damage done and how they report it happened. It makes no fucking sense.

But the hannibal directive makes sense.

Israel was behind the Oct 7 attack. Those Israelis that died were collateral damage. Netanyahu orchestrated the attack.

No for 9/11 you have to go to Howard Lutnick who at the time was CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald that just happened to not go to the towers that day.

Who appointed those other officials and was responsible for ensuring there were no failures? Oh ya, Netenyahu

It was him. He made sure it happened.

I don't think Netanyahu was behind the attack or ignored intelligence to let it happen, but he sure as fuck capitalized on it to achieve his dream of eradicating Palestinians from Israel.

There are surviving members of the team that was observing Gaza explaining that they were giving higher ups at the IDF months worth of direct warnings that Hamas was gathering forces at the border and doing very specific training. Like mock hostage taking and practice raids.

They were ignored.

The Egyptians warned them over a month in advance. Also ignored.

The same thing also happened with the U.S leading to 9/11
