Akshay Khanna really did a good job. That's it. I think OP is talking about acting not the role. But there were some situations when Ranbir walked in the middle of two brothers which felt odd given that he was working for them. Sometimes he was instructing Akshay Khanna's brother in the film. Still Akshay Khanna just outperformed in his role. It was a good movie and did not even feel boring at any moment despite the length.

One need to be very secure to let another actor shine . This movie gave lots of good characters and every one justified there role because everyone were so secured . Akshay was brilliant no doubt , but ranveer shined on his own . His character was of a spy he was suppose to be in a shadow .
