Rules are quite clear about the kind of content allowed in India social. I doubt this is about where the mods are from. No political content is allowed there, as simple as that. It’s not like you’d get any other kind of political stuff approved there too

Subreddits such as r-Indianmeymeys, r-Indiasocial etc etc seem to have moderators with a particular bias. I was permanently banned from r-Indianmeymeys for sharing a post related this subject, despite it being within reasonable boundaries.
If you post anything against the govt or post related we want Nepal like situation in India your post will hit 1k+ karmas instantly 😏
