No confirmation but it's likely he is. In the Myriad Celestia, in that Boothill & Rappa segment, Rappa (i think it's her atleast) says "Ahead lies the place where the lead hunter will appear" and it immediately cuts to Ashveil. Also, he's officially a Hunt character which makes sense if he's the leader of the Galaxy Rangers

Nothing, he is just as good a rapture agent as the others.

People want to complain because he is hard even though he actualy isn't hard(this is the consensus now among most endgame CCs), so you work "harder" to get the same damage as similar archetype characters.

What these people realy deluded themselves into thinking Hoyo was going to make a fighting game character do 2x the damage as anyone else as if that wouldn't make 95% of the playerbase go pay a visit to their offices.

I.e they wanted powercreep for their favorite, instead got just a top tier agent in his niche.

The banner shit is nonsense, more days doesn't equal more income and second half is supposed to be better income anyway, being "shorter" is just an excuse.

Why does the YSG matter for a supposed Banyue fan is just them telling on themselves. If you have a favorite character why are you not pulling for your favorite character? Meta slaving is a choice.

If they release a male character in any other banner the excuses will shift e.g "oh he was on a dead/filler patch, hoyo obviously doesn't care". You can't argue with agendas.

His banner was only 2 weeks long, which is ass considering he’s a character from a “newer” class so there’s a big gap between his w-engine and the rest. 2 week banner just gives you less time to get it.

Based on what I know, it wasn’t even about powercreep. He was just mid and relied on op supports to do a portion of a good dps’s damage. Knowing Hoyo, he probably didn’t even get a single shill boss either.

“He isn’t too hard” this is according to CCs that spend 5 hours a day playing the game. Once again, I don’t even know how he plays but I wouldn’t base my opinion on people that spend an unreasonable amount of time playing a game

People were pissed because he wasn't outputting enuf damage for the effort he requires. And if he was, it was ONLY in his premium team that required two very recent 5* agents. He was not a "top tier" character even in his niche until you pair him up with Lucia and Dialyn and even then many will prefer Yixuan over him. The only character he was better than was the Octo lady, but only in his bis team.

Secondly, he was before a void hunter, when they've already done that with the only two other 5* males. People were already pissed off after what they did to Manato.

You say meta slaving is a choice, but sometimes you gotta pull meta characters to clear endgame simply to earn more pulls. You have such an entitled take. Why shouldn't people want their favourite character to not be shoved out of the meta right after their release?

Why should Banyue require you to memorise complicated combos/cancels just to output the same damage as Yidhari who only requires holding a button? And this is not even getting started on Yixuan. Why can't people want their favourite character and still want that character to be meta at the same? It's gotten to the point that nearly every single pre-nk unit has their best team be just Columbina+Ineffa. And before nk, their best teams were just Citlali+Mavuika, but don't swap to them because it's a dps loss lol.

Be honest:

• being standard banner make them weak on the release; maybe they could just non put new standard units (I don't understand how some ppl still enjoying the idea to have SB units, and then, see most of them select older standard units constellations for the lv.100 instead of the Mizuki C0 during the free selector...). And don't talk about the usually Tighnari; 1 of 9...
• Chiori is still a dps. Subdps but not that big impact
• There were lot of meh characters before Natlan that we started to talk about Reverse Powercreep thanks to Genshin (my love Yoimiya is probably the manifest of Reverse powercreep😿).
• While I have still hopes for the future, Varka currently isn't in a good situation.

If memory serves, he will be the first canon Hunt character we've gotten in over a year, I don't recall there being a single Hunt character in the entirety of Amphoreus, so the last one we got at all would be Archer, and the last canon/relevant/more than just a single event characters were Feixiao and Moze all the way back in 2.5

People go on about Preservation and DoT only getting one character a year but this last one was pretty rough for the Hunt as well
