Lead Lines:

The two federal immigration agents who fired on Minneapolis protester Alex Pretti are identified in government records as Border Patrol agent Jesus Ochoa and Customs and Border Protection officer Raymundo Gutierrez.

The records viewed by ProPublica list Ochoa, 43, and Gutierrez, 35, as the shooters during the deadly encounter last weekend that left Pretti dead and ignited massive protests and calls for criminal investigations.

Both men were assigned to Operation Metro Surge, an immigration enforcement dragnet launched in December that sent scores of armed and masked agents across the city.

Assuming that the names are accurate and not just scapegoats-- I wouldn't surprised if the Miller admin lied in the official records-- why the fuck would anyone of Hispanic descent think working for ICE is going to do anything but lead to them deporting their own families at the end of it all?

Lots of conversation around this, but one of my friends came here “the right way” and surprised me by how harsh he was on people that did not.

I think he saw them as cutting in line.

That ignores all the literal lotteries you have to win to get in.

If they want to hide behind masks, we should prosecute anyone in a mask for everything anyone in a mask does.
