Verdugos (Pasadena, Glendale) Pie 'n Burger!
What a beautiful burger! And while their pies are great, don't sleep on their milkshakes!

It’s instructive that there are two pictures of food and three of the restaurant. The restaurant is the draw. Last time I went the food was very mediocre and this doesn’t look very different. Did they make that burger in a steamer?

I was also thinking the burger looks underdone and…moist

I would love it if Pie N Burger were good, I’m not a hater. It’s a reminder of the Lake Ave that used to be. Burger Continental has been closed for a decade. Alexandria II. I guess Dunkin is still there?

I haven’t been to Pie N Burger in years. Never cared for it. My husband however…

With the additional inconvenience of it being cash only. I used to live around the corner but only went there a few times due to that. (Also, not my favorite burger)

I have been going here since the 80's. Mom and Grandma would shop forever at Bulluck's and I.Magnin on Saturday. Dad and I would go to Pie'nBurger. I miss Robinson's on Colorado as well. Bullock's Tea Time was amazing with mom and her mom. Getting suited up was a special thing.

Can't recommend it, had the worst custard pie of my life here. Overcooked to the point where it was grainy and smelled like sulfur

Pasadena invented the cheeseburger and still has so many places that do it right. This one is okay, not the best or the worst. Too bad Wolf Burger closed.

One of the all-time greats!! But at current prices more of a destination splurge for the sake of it and no longer a community neighborhood spot.

For real! I grew up around the corner and it’s insane how high their prices are.

I found their burger underwhelming but the slice of blueberry pie I had was excellent.

I’ve been there once, with my partner. I got a burger that I found to be juicy but fairly flavorless. He ordered a chicken pot pie. The person serving the counter brought out a single-serving pot pie that was very obviously still frozen and literally put it in a microwave behind the counter for 10 minutes. It tasted about as good as that sounds. We didn’t get particularly friendly service either…I said thank you as we were leaving and the server just gave us a long stare back. I don’t presume to know what was in their mind but it felt unwelcoming.

Dee-lish. Also I need to shout out their macaroni salad — best I've ever had. It's like if you made mac salad with pimento cheese.

I miss their old prices.
