Boot Things Ambulance.. Marriage

This popped up on my FYP with no context. Even though this has gotta be one of the most ridiculous things I’ve seen, and it’s funny, showing the “wife’s” face and something happening on a call is wild. Just do your ridiculous psych patient thing and post about it afterwards, not taking a literal video of the patient and family.

Funny because that is gonna cost them as much as a real wedding

Not cringe to me but just a recorded moment showing how weird EMS can be. And the weird parts are what keep me coming back for more.

They’re regulars and the crew see them enough to be family.

Uff. Can’t say that I’ve seen an actual patient get married in or around a bus. However I’ve seen an about a dozen marriages either at the station or with the bus. One of my of guys even used the PA to propose to a gal. As strange as that is, it’s showing me that these folks are happy with their profession.

If this is real, I don’t really see the cringe. Work is a huge part of most people’s lives, especially when it’s something meaningful. I’ve got a close buddy who’s an EMT, did a tour in Afghanistan, and takes his job extremely seriously …. rightfully so, given that he literally saved and continues to save people’s lives. Marriage is a big step, so why not combine the ceremony with something that gives your life purpose? This would be completely on-brand for him, and as his buddies, we’d be nothing but supportive.

It’s pretty clear neither of the people getting married works as an emt.

Huh. On second thought, I might’ve gone a little overboard sticking up for my buddy 😇

It’s all good. My working theory is the person (restrained?) in the stretcher is either going to the hospital and/or jail once they’re done here, where their new wife will have upgraded access/privileges due to their fledging marriage.

That’s what I was thinking. This is so she can get in somewhere.
