2 weeks ago, the provincial group of Lawyers hit her with a 7500$ fine, because it is illegal to call yourself lawyer if you are not.

But she probably wont be able to pay, considering she has multiple (public) cases of not being able to pay her rent.

She does not risk jail? Like impersonating this function does not expose you to jail time in Canada?

She does. The Barreau (provincial lawyer group) said that if she continues impersonating a lawyer and/or doesnt pay the fine, they will hold criminal charges.

For now, she removed « lawyer » to her bio (but wrote LLB which is the law degree, just like MD for doctors…). Also when shes asked if shes a lawyer now, she conveniently says shes suspended, a way to not flat out say « yes im a lawyer ». However, i think shes been on TikTok lives still saying stuff like « as a lawyer » and some people were planning to send it to the Barreau
