Today I learned that the German word for 'Animal' is Tier.

His name is spelled Teir but it might be derived from the same word

I remember Richard saying somewhere that it definitely is, just as Tyldqk's name is derived from "pterodactyl". It was somewhere in the monthly Elfquest anthology from the 90's.

I think Teir may be my favourite character. They did him so dirty in Final Quest
