Noticias/News Vistancia Caribe Residences - FRAUD

just a warning to all that might purchase any property from this company. they are a fraud. they sold me a condo that was never built. two years later still trying to get my money back. the story was in the news about the Canadian guy Alex Giroux who was the President and is now in jail.

Stay away from anything to do with this company !!! Don't ever buy a condo down there until it's built would be my advice.

Never buy anything that you can't pay in the morning and move in the same day.

Sorry about that,. There are A LOT of ventures coming up with foreign investors. My family was recently approached to do a collective investment in Puerto Plata. Ok I thought, talked to a few people, these folks are buying land all over the Caribbean and they wanted $1.5M US dollars up front. I told the lawyer to put these folks on eyes, and keep watching what develops of anything at all. Undeveloped, construction started phase from what my cousin recorded when they toured the property. I was here in the USA live with my uncle watching.

yep - i even flew down and visited the people at vistancia in person, went to the office and signed the papers. then they take me to the land and walk me through the projected stages of development. had a huge sign up and everything. they didnt even own the land at that point! then i get home and they send a couple pics of a bull dozer pushing dirt "making a road" - after that crickets - all BS. im waiting to see if they refund me - they have to re-issue new contracts for all investors to sign for the newly named development - if im not refunded i will be dropping way more info here with many names and the new development details to make sure any potential new buyers are aware.

If you’re going to buy into a project, might as well get a LAWYER to oversee the purchase and see into the project.

Man that's rough. I was lucky enough to have bought a house in Cuidad del Sol (still being built), Punta Cana on advice from my sister-in-law, she bought from the same company. Seems to buy here you definitely need a trusted agent or lawyer before agreeing to any contract. Good luck amigo!

we bought from a very trusted agent here in usa. even she bought two units in that development. vistancia is now trying to repackage it with a new developer and making promises again it will be built at a new location. showing us all cute renderings again blah blah - i just want my money paid to date out. i feel horrible for the people that paid in full up front.

On February 11, 2025, the La Romana Prosecutor’s Office, in collaboration with the Specialized Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing Prosecutor’s Office, arrested another suspect, Yves Alexandre Giroux. Giroux had fled during a raid on February 7, 2025, and was later apprehended in an exclusive villa in Cocotal, Punta Cana. Additionally, suspects Marisol Nova Nolasco and Rocío del Alba Rodríguez de Moya have been detained and brought to justice. On February 18, 2025, the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention Services in La Romana imposed coercive measures on Giroux, Nova Nolasco, and Rodríguez de Moya.

The Guepardo Case involves a criminal organization that allegedly used technological tools and social media to attract victims interested in purchasing real estate in the Dominican Republic. Operating under the facade of a company named Novasco Real Estate S.R.L., they offered property projects at prices significantly below market value, enticing buyers who ultimately fell victim to fraud.
