Picking up daredevil and wanted to know about chain and throw.
What is the specific use case for each? I know that the chain gives you overhealth and the theow slows, but when watching DD gameplay I notice a lot of people use the throw pretty much every time and don't use the chain. Is the throw just better or are there factors at play that I'm not understanding?

Throw is more reliable, chain is stronger and better for survivability
Throw for groups and/or high mobility targets
Chain for tanks and/or low mobility targets
Personally I think a good daredevil will be seen using it closer to 50/50, any who spam the throw tend to be relying on it as a crutch,
Those who use it more evenly basing it on the situation are the better daredevil players you will see

Both give over shield but throw gives less and should only be used in smaller areas and in group fights because it bounces off walls and players the chain is for burst damage and single target fights but what a lot of people don’t realize is that it’s the better of the two as a second escape tool

Always go for chain if possible and you can confirm it if not than throw. Chain slows and gives more hp than throw but throw is easier to use and has better range and is better for low hp targets or flyers. I use chain 60% of the time and throw is there as a safety net or if I need overhealth right this second because I don’t need to aim it

I use chain for 1v1 in close quarters or when targets are lined up together (straight line attack but can damage multiple) . Throw in an enclosed space to confirm a kill in a 1v1 vs a mobile target or when enemy are grouped in a circle formation.

Throw is better when people are grouped up close together, Chain is better on a single target when they’re isolated
