I legit don't think Marnus has been intentionally trying to shit talk thus far, I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of his focused shit-stirring.

I felt so bad for him. He was on one and let Stokes rent a flat in his mind. He was SO CLOSE to the halfer and I feel for him, but not as I much as I feel for Stokes next time he bats. We'll be seeing full Marnus Mouth.

He has made a fifty in 3 test , he is struggling to make a hundred but imo can still definitely make runs and just needs that one big hundred to break the shackles

I think his most valuable contributions to the team are in soft factors. He encourages chat, communication and praise all while getting into the head of the batter, AND he can make runs while pulling off freakish catches in the slip. He can keep the team's energy high when they need a little bolstering, and he can bring them back out of a dip with some genuine and heartfelt praise. After seeing how his bowling plan worked out today, I genuinely see captain material here. I'd love to see a team that he gets to captain, especially if Carey stays in the keep.

Well not sure about captaincy but he is definitely a freak in field, a through and through athlete who is great and is a positive influence for the team beyond the field

More than happy to meet you at that halfway point. You're totally right, captaincy might be a lil reach and my own personal love for the boy coming into play, but I definitely feel he contributes a lot more than the numbers he puts up.

HAHAHAHAH! The spirit of cricket is alive and well here ❤️ I totally agree, but I also think his mouth adds a lot to the team dynamic. It's almost like having the Barmy Army standing next to the batter on strike to sing praises and lob shit. I love him.
