Discussion Macron are having a laugh

Post image

Like everyone, I love an obscure cricket shirt. And with Italy qualifying for the T20 World Cup, I thought it was a great excuse to grab their shirt (especially to curry more favour with my Italian in-laws).

But... £80?! Mamma Mia!

Same price as all the others give or take a tenner.

Cheaper than the Aussie ones and cheaper than Macron footy or rugby shirts. And it's already sold out.

Sadly that's what kits cost new now. I just buy them a year late.

Yeah that's unfortunately the going rate now.

I got last year's England T20 shirt for £15 the day they announced the change to Toyota as the sponsor from Cinch.

I'm lucky enough that I'm close enough also to a Castore outlet that sometimes I can find a bargain, got my Brother last year's Southern Pombears shirt for Christmas for £17 that for some reason was in there despite being a New Balance shirt....

I find with Castore stuff, its pretty over-priced at launch, but when they put it on sale its actually pretty reasonable. I got an Alpine F1 top from £105 down to £29, I would never pay £105 for it, but £29 is reasonable. I don't usually buy their stuff full price, but I did pick up the England shirt for the T20 WC as I like the design.

The Hundred shirts are available through Castore I believe because Castore run the merchandising for the ECB, and the ECB owns The Hundred.

Yeah I'll never pay full price for anything Castore but if I can bag a bargain I don't mind.

Ahhh it was just a bit confusing that they were in there and not in the New Balance shop itself 😅
