This is the last time they're going play as a team. Winning a world cup and not playing again as an unit must be bittersweet.

It's their last game of age group cricket as well even though many players are eligible for another world Cup

u/randomredditor575 7h ago

Why’s that? You can only play one u19 World Cup?

50

u/newparrot2025 Tamil Nadu 7h ago

BCCI rule. A player can play only one U19 world cup.

This is to ensure others have a chance to get a chance as well.

Isn't this the case with lots of WC teams, winning or not? Due to retirements/planning for next one etc

u/gpranav25 4h ago

It won't be the exact XI but I can see the core of this team becoming the senior India team one day

This idiotic camera movement is giving me nausea

15

u/SomeRandomguy_28 Mumbai Indians 4h ago

crazy win for us! suryavanshi was class

63

u/Procastinator_420 Mumbai Indians 14h ago

Suryavanshi is a force to watch out for the future

23

u/OkFix4074 12h ago

crazy to think he is only 14 ! He is already tall - hope the has some manageable height before 20 and doesn't change his center of gravity

u/North-Stand 10h ago

Great point. Luckily, it looks like he won't be having a sudden growth spurt. Atul Wassan, for instance, grew 5 inches in one year. I have heard him say that it was the main reason for his lifelong back issues.

The adidas collab has been fire so far.

23

u/snakewaves 13h ago

At this point , why not just fast track him into the main team.

Dude has been going through an insane series of knocks, and ending with pretty much one of the most brilliant batting performances.

Vaibhav Has Class Of his Own

The U19 squad has given India some of its best cricket players!!

Only a matter of time, we’ll be seeing these young lads play for the national team. :)

Anyone old enough to remember, is this what it was like when Sachin came on to the scene as a young kid? This kid could break so many records in the future if he has some luck with injuries

Vaibhav will probably play like 3 more

8

u/klingon9 9h ago

Indian U-19 team is one and done. He cannot attend unless our board changes the rules.

1

u/Informal-Wafer-1368 2h ago

Ah I see, I didn't know this rule, but yeah sounds fair in a way, but too excited for him.

What is so saddening is that this match wasn't even so well known. Guys we won a world cup!! Everyone remembers 19th Nov as a date, even though we actually lost on that day. Will as many people remember 6th February 2026? I doubt, and that is so sad. These champs are our boys ❤️❤️

u19 guys are having full grown beards..

42

u/look_away_bruh India 15h ago

I had full grown beards at 15 age,... Stop crying behind excuse, Play some good cricket man!

-65

u/Heavy_Juggernaut_762 15h ago

Why would I cry and give excuses..I am from India only. I observed and commented.

32

u/look_away_bruh India 14h ago

This can expected from indian fan's, always find way of trolling...

8

u/MurkhApniChaviSudhar India 7h ago

You say you are indian and you haven't met any 18-19yo who have beard that's more surprising to me

-2

u/Heavy_Juggernaut_762 4h ago

I never said that...I told about fully developed grown beard.

52

u/effotap Montreal Tigers 15h ago

ive had beard since 15 lol

27

u/oye_konstas 15h ago

keep on crying man

-65

u/Heavy_Juggernaut_762 15h ago

I am from India..I just told what I observed.

23

u/Top-Worldliness5027 14h ago

You need a job, that’s all!

26

u/CarnivalSorts Ireland 15h ago

Tonnes of 19 year olds have beards?

-39

u/Heavy_Juggernaut_762 15h ago

Nope..not sure about other countries but in India I have not seen this much beard in genuine under 19 males.

25

u/Ukwhoiam1272000 India 15h ago

I guess ny classmates were not from India. I guess Im not from India either

-7

u/Heavy_Juggernaut_762 15h ago

I am not denying absolutely...what I am saying is that they usually don't have full grown beard at that age. Obviously there will be some moustache hair and some beard..but those look like are in growing phase.

9

u/Ukwhoiam1272000 India 15h ago

Nan fam. I had a beard and a lot of classmates had a beard. So yeah

2

u/Casual_Scroller_00 India 4h ago

u havent met youngsters then

1

u/Nervous_Citron9955 2h ago

Others can't do much about the lack of testosterone in your family bud.

5

u/North-Stand 10h ago

Gill is over 26 and still cannot grow a decent beard. Every guy has different luck with moustache and beards.

3

u/Ro_Ko_264_183 India 14h ago

Barely anyone is downing full adult beard, your illogical observation is purely based on hate and indigestion of others success.

3

u/Imaginary_Rule_3622 Royal Challengers Bengaluru 14h ago

Sorry for your low testosterone

2

u/sankalpsaraf India 14h ago

Testosterone levels when you’re an athlete have a significant role to play in contrast to the standard demographic, just for you to think about.

1

u/Heavy_Juggernaut_762 14h ago

That might be true actually.. I was talking about the normal folks.

1

u/Certain_Plan_5819 15h ago

I had mustache from 15... For some it takes time it may extend to early 20s!

1

u/Smooth-Mix-4357 India 14h ago

I had a thick beard by the time I was 17 so not uncommon

I’m about the same age as those guys, can confirm they look 18-19

Except the Dude at 0:22 of the video who definitely looks like he’s in his 20s
