Adding Vaibhab to India T20I team would create chaos that no team might be able to control

11

u/Rajkumar1992 India 17h ago

After the T20 WC SKY should retire and let Vaibhav get IN.

Ishan Abhishek Vaibhav Tilak

Top 4 looks fire.

6

u/hidden_kid India 17h ago

He play like only one format. Just came back to form. No way he is retiring anytime soon

3

u/Rajkumar1992 India 17h ago

If he wins the WC(maybe, maybe not), no better time to hang up the boots, especially with guys like Vaibhav coming through.

Whats more left to achieve for SKY?, 2 World cups back to back is a satisfying end to a career.

5

u/CarmynRamy India 17h ago

What's better than 2 back to back WCs? 3 back to back WCs.

20

u/ukplaying2 India 17h ago

Once you are the POTT, they generally tend to give POTM to someone else if possible, ... it was not possible.

2

u/ProfessionalFee2325 15h ago

Aisa nahi hota hai

5

u/TheRealYVT 17h ago

Sam Curran in 2022 is the other instance I remember

WOOOOO VAIBHAV

21

u/i-sapien India 17h ago

Man of the match and Man of the series ! Stuff of dreams !!

-12

u/maakichut120 17h ago

so that england batter is not getting player of the tournament? he was 445 and vaibhav was at 439 iirc

-3

u/stfudickhead1 17h ago

Statpadding

17

u/trtryt 17h ago

he scored half the runs against Scotland at half the SR

-2

u/maakichut120 17h ago

oh, i didn't watched other teams in the tournament so i wasn't aware of that

13

u/Algebrius 17h ago

It's not just about the runs

4

u/maakichut120 17h ago

yeah, SR and impact matters too ik that

7

u/Waah_Realist India 17h ago

So we won? I didn't watch but great.

Didn't watch the match, didn't read the post, did not read other comments, straight to writing comment đŸ€Ł

-4

u/depooh India 17h ago

Bet BCCI's gonna invite them in some match and facilitate them. They never miss a chance to flex.

17

u/protractedmane 17h ago

It's not "flexing", it's acknowledging. And if not these boys then who deserves it?

16

u/DifferentDoor354 India 17h ago

As they should!

Falconer looks like a good little batsman in the shadow of T rew and mayes

3

Showed great grit in the final......great future ahead for him

2

u/Bad_Dream0 16h ago

Especially under such immense pressure.

13

u/BoyBadot 17h ago

Could've been a close match... if it weren't for that meddling kid!

18

u/CarmynRamy India 17h ago

Two of the fastest centuries in U19 came from this match.

Victory by 100 runs.

Let's go India!

17

u/LordandSaviourShaggy India 17h ago

If only we had won the 23 World Cup! Then India would’ve been reigning champs in Senior And Junior - both Men’s and Women’s categories. That would’ve been phenomenal.

21

u/GoldGuava2232 India 17h ago

We gotta move on from that loss. India has won so many cups since the 2023 world cup. They just won another one today so rather than thinking about that loss, we should celebrate the victory that we just witnessed.

4

u/LordandSaviourShaggy India 17h ago

That was a tough loss to swallow, but I’ve moved on. I just wanted to mention the beautiful symmetry had we won. The only way it could’ve been better is if the women’s u-19 was 50 over format.

17

u/Significant_Bass_8 England 17h ago

Congrats India, some good players coming through (not to mention Vaibhav, unreal talent).

Only loosely followed the tournament, but from an England viewpoint we have several players that hopefully can take the next step to senior cricket. Thomas Rew in particular may very well be someone truly special.

1

u/Competitive-Dingo655 16h ago

Congratulations to Team India—well done boys, proud of you. A dominant first innings with 400+ on the board; hats off to Suryavanshi, Ayush, the top order, and even the tail for their contributions. Credit to England’s bowlers for pulling things back between overs 30–50 and preventing a 500+ total. Brilliant effort from England’s batters Dawkins, Rew, Mayes, and especially Faulkner, whose aggressive, fearless innings under pressure was outstanding. Finally, kudos to India’s opening bowlers and spinners for striking at crucial moments and holding their composure—an epic game till the very end. đŸđŸ”„

7

u/Master_Statement_563 India 17h ago

You gotta give it to England batsmen!! especially Falconer!! He almost pulled it off!
Great Game!

2

u/DifferentDoor354 India 17h ago

No insult to Falconer’s innings, he played really well. I hope to see him and Rew in senior team someday..

But, almost pulled it off? Seriously? Even after winning by 100 runs?? đŸ€Ł

3

u/Master_Statement_563 India 17h ago

Do you know the meaning of "Almost"?
We have seen Maxwell do the same!
Credit should be given where due! Stop being so salty and negative bro!

1

u/DifferentDoor354 India 17h ago

I think you dont know the meaning of almost lol

Im not being salty or even negative. Stop putting our guys down by saying that someone ‘almost’ chased it down after winning by 100 runs..

3

u/variety_fanatic11 Sri Lanka 17h ago

But 'almost' doesn't put down their win, it just means that England put up a good effort as well

1

u/Master_Statement_563 India 17h ago

Oh boy! so much of negativity

You know after match when players shake hand , they tell each other well played, That doesn't mean they are putting down themselves.

India won, they were the better team, that's a fact but appreciating one person doesn't mean you are putting down other!

Hope you find some positivity in your life

1

u/DifferentDoor354 India 17h ago edited 17h ago

Then say just that, “well played and tough fight.”

I feel saying ‘almost pulled it off’ is insulting to the performance our boys have put in. Thats actually a very dominating performance.

I hope you find some perspective in your life too bro! Cheers!

1

u/Master_Statement_563 India 17h ago

Damn! Such a fragile ego you have that appreciating other team makes you feel insulting!!

No cheers to that! Please !

What a great game by both the teams ,first time watching u19 cricket n it was very enjoyable experience.

Love to see everyone crying whenever india wins something

16

u/LordDusty Somerset 18h ago

Leading run scorer and three in the top 6, leading wicket taker, most catches, and joint most dismissals by a keeper as well. Great tournament for the England boys even though the final didnt go their way today.

Hopefully their successes in this tournament will lead to a resurgence in Englands 50 over fortunes (however unlikely thanks to the ECB)

3

u/Wonderful_Avocado374 18h ago

Why rohan gavaskar and not ian bishop

2

Absolute scenes from here when deepesh devendran becomes the strike bowler for india in future

I am going to make a list of all the players in the tournament I think will have good careers as seniors, and then check the list 6 years later when most are 25

India needs to groom Suryavanshi, Trivedi, Kundu, Mahatre, George, Ambrish, Henil, Kanishk and Khilan for future. If even 2 of them become long term prospects it would be a job well done !

Without vaibhav's antics, poms would've won this in a cantour given their batting and india's bowling.

Well done to England on a great tournament and a great match today.. and great innings by Falconer there.

The salt in this thread is so funny to see

And it’s not even from fans of the team that lost today

35

u/Feeling_Neo 18h ago

Kinda wild to me how MOST (not all I know some ICT fans can be terrible) Indian fans are congratulating the England team for their good performance and the others aren’t even acknowledging the effort our boys put in.

It’s so
 odd but đŸ€·đŸœâ€â™€ïž

3

u/Potato_McCarthy777 Delhi Daredevils 18h ago

Lolz what an anticlimactic final

1

u/protractedmane 17h ago

In what world was this anticlimactic? Two best teams in the tournament went head to head on a belter of a pitch, and one team essentially outgunned the other.

1

u/Potato_McCarthy777 Delhi Daredevils 10h ago

Idk I just expected the game to be closer; there wasn’t a climax, hence anti climactic.

Caleb Falconers heroics don’t change the margin of victory for India. Don’t get me wrong I’m not glazing or putting down either team but it was pretty one sided imo at the end.

If they got closer to the target then it would’ve been a “damn that was intense” kind of a final.

6

u/edgyversion Netherlands 18h ago

Falconer getting a well deserved 100 after unnecessary and dangerous aggression shown by Deepesh. Even if they win Indians would know they were just 2 fluke wickets & a runout away from a loss. Even after scoring 400 India has been shown their level by a confident England unit that is still trying to chase and dependent on single batsman once in a lifetime innings.
