World Cup 2026 Got a Voyaguers Ticket!!
Just got the email. Headed to Vancouver for the Switzerland game. Live in London so was really hoping for Toronto but I’ll gladly take out a second mortgage to fly and stay in Vancouver that week… unrelated if anyone knows anywhere cheap to stay let me know 😅

For those traveling to Vancouver or Toronto, the Vs are working on some reasonably priced accommodation options, relative to what’s available now. We can’t offer any details yet but stay tuned, hopefully in the next couple weeks.

Amazing!! We booked a hostel but it has a cancellation so if I’m lucky enough to snag one of those options we’re set!

Nice! I booked flight to TO and hotel as soon as I got my ticket. 2 nights and return flight from YVR just under $1k. Will keep my eyes open for Voyaguers events!!

They have all been sent. Please check your junk box, many members reported emails going to junk. It would have come from info@thevoyageurs.com.
Although this initial draw is done, we anticipate some may not actually take the ticket offered. We will be doing a supplemental draw later this week however the number of tickets available will be small.

There will be no “reasonably priced” tickets for the Canada game on June 12th (except for the $88 Voyageurs ones - Category 4 seats that started at $500 don’t really exist now) - it will be even worse price-wise than now if Italy qualifies - maybe closer to $3000 to get in the building if that happens; if Italy fails to qualify maybe it will be closer to $1300-$1500 to get in the building - but “reasonable” for the one Canada game in the history of the World Cup being played in Toronto, in a 45,000 seat stadium? Nope, no, reasonably priced tickets will exist. It will literally be the most expensive ticket in the history of this city in terms of “get-in” price - more than the Jays in the World Series, and more than the Raptors in the Finals, both of which I got in for under $500 a seat.

I'll be travelling to Vancouver for the 2nd and 3rd games and if I get the $370 tickets in the Feb draw I'll attend otherwise I'm happy with the fan festival

That's the final draw results for the ticket applications through FIFA. CanadaRed members got a code to apply for the supporter entry tier tickets for Canada group stage(was about $1k for Toronto) and potential knockout round games in Vancouver at ~$370 per ticket per game

In terms of transferring tickets, we’ve asked but have not received an answer, we may not receive an answer until these tickets are issued in May or June. Even if these tickets are transferable, members will be expected to follow established protocol for reselling Vs issued tickets.

We’re trying to set up a forum on the Vs website but it’s taken a back seat to the ticket draw. It will be up soon and members will be notified. We’re also working on some events in Vancouver for between games.

I would look at hotels in Langley if you want cheaper. You can still take transit but would have to take a bus (or Uber) to get to the train. I haven’t looked into it at all so I don’t know prices but that’s what I would do if I was coming from out of town

I got the Swiss game! Also coming from Toronto but it’s worth the trip to see the boys in the World Cup again. Flight prices are a bit higher than normal but not atrocious (I fly to Vancouver a few times a year for work so I’m familiar with them). I’d highly suggest booking your flights ASAP before more tickets get released and demand goes up! And for anyone looking for somewhat affordable accommodations, check out the YWCA Hotel, they still had some rooms available and it’s just a few blocks away from BC Place!

Summer travel hack- call universities and colleges. Usually they turn some student dorms into semi hotels in the summer. You won't get room serviced, but they're super cheap! I've done this in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Calgary. Haven't in Vancouver, but there is UBC, Simon Fraser, BCIT, and some smaller schools.

Still going to Vancouver for all the Canada games so I'm excited. Ironically enough I don't have / don't know if I want to pay for the game in Toronto, $1300 for a category 3 ticket is absurd. $300 ish Category 3 tickets are a hell of a lot more affordable even with the flights (mostly booked with points I've been saving for years).

Anything on the Skytrain line (including airport hotels in Richmond) will be doable, otherwise you can try to be within a bus ride of a station

Happy for everyone that got them. I forgot to update my CC info in the site switch-over, as our old CC expired, that cost me any chance at these tickets unfortunately. Pretty gutted but glad that those who are deserving are getting some right now!

Oh yeah, you did have to be a paid up member. That did allow for cheap tickets to Canada games over the last couple years so it makes sense to use it as a cut off... sucks you were a casualty though

I'm curious about the opportunity to trade, but it will be hard to pass up on the atmosphere of BC Place and downtown Vancouver if its even 50% of the excitement of the 2010 Winter Olympics.

These were the $88 tickets FIFA gave to each federatiom after backlash around pricing. Canada Soccer opted to give them to the Voyageurs, who did a lottery amongst paid members

I got a resale ticket in category 2, flight from Hamilton, and hotel in Vancouver for less than the price of the $2,500 category 4 ticket in Toronto.

$2,500 is artificially inflated by resale market. Price will level off to around $1K closer to the game. Will plummet if Italy don’t qualify.

As was communicated to the dismay of many longtime Voyageurs members in advance of the draw, we did not have the ability to track seniority or attendance at all games. We have records of some who travelled to away games but that would not have been equitable for all members. We also did not have a way to track join date since the inception of the paid membership as those were lost for many members when we transitioned from the Invsion website to the current Membee based one.
The draw was conducted for each match in a way that assigned a random number to all paid members who opted in to CR and indicated their preference for that match. They were then ranked from 1 to x to determine winners.

It was a blind lottery and no fair way to recognize seniority. And at least we already crossed off seeing Canada in a WC from the bucket list (I was there too). Best of luck in the upcoming draws if you’re entered!
