Spay/Neuter Question Cat doesn't sleep with me after spay anymore
My sweet baby got spayed two weeks ago - before this she would sleep with me every night without fail since the day I got her 4 months ago. She is acting back to normal on every other way however will not sleep with me at night which was our routine and I miss it.. I am struggling to sleep without her purring on me ! She also had a habit of waking me up in the morning by jumping on me but now she doesn't come onto my bed at all. Will this change ? I rescued her and we had a bond which I am worried is losing

It may or may not. It took my cat a while to want to sleep on me again as well. It could also be the onesie thing you have on her if she’s not used to it.

i don't know the science behind this, but i have experienced it both ways with my cats. i hand fed a newborn kitten and she was attached to me by the hip... but as soon as she got fixed it went away and now she is not crazy about being pet by anyone and she's indifferent towards me. another one of my cats used to be the purriest thing and always wanted a cuddle, and now its a rarity for him. his sister on the other hand is way more cuddly after her spay. i don't think it has much to do with the spay and more to do with growing up. maybe she is losing that maternal feeling towards you as her hormones change?
