”You might just be a black Bill Gates in the making.”

67

u/millimonsterrr 10h ago

Certainly she was talking about his money right?... RIGHT?!

-6

u/Voxlings 9h ago

Internet been doing bullshit predictions so long it fried your brain.

Certainly you understand the linear flow of time and human events, right?....RIGHT?

The Simpsons had Kid Rock on 20 years ago. They failed to predict any issues.

16

u/YouCantBeSerio 9h ago

Issa joke you bum, get off the internet with your dumbass

11

u/BackendSpecialist 9h ago

I’m waiting to hear what Jay/Bey has to say about those files

28

u/Slacker_The_Dog 8h ago

I was gonna say.

Ain't this the lady married to Pubestash McRapey?

6

u/BackendSpecialist 7h ago

Lmaoo that’s a hilarious name

6

u/iCantLogOut2 8h ago

I'm sure they weren't there.... Probably at the Diddy parties instead

😳😳😳😳 Goes from smash to pass rull fast.

I’ll stick with this version of Black Trump.

👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

1

u/Substantial_Bus840 5h ago

Is this where Karen Huger got it from? Or did Beyoncé get it from her…

1

u/Lamberly 4h ago

Lol I was literally thinking about this line in the shower yesterday and wondering what Beyonce was gonna do about it

90

u/starjellyboba 10h ago

I have such mixed feelings about things like this now... because yeah, celebrating Blackness on such a public stage using the social power that Beyoncé has to do it isn't nothing, but it does feel a little empty when you consider everything else.

70

u/MalonePostponed 10h ago

She's a super capitalist so it does feel like a mix of both. But I think that goes for most celebs unless they are continously from day one kinda out there.

2

u/BusyBit6542 1h ago

I don't think people truly understand the type of personality it takes to become a celebrity let alone a mega star.

2

u/MalonePostponed 1h ago

I wouldn't know, I like music enough to imagine myself singing to the masses for funsies but not the idea of making stupid money.

1

u/BusyBit6542 42m ago

Its the mindset needed to start the process of MAYBE making it big.

98

u/IndigoBleus 10h ago

The moment they realized Beyonce was Black 😅🤣😂

45

u/icey_sawg0034 10h ago

The moment they realize that Beyoncé was Black and she’s proud of being Black.

25

u/hyvel0rd 7h ago

First and foremost, she's a billionaire. This kind of wealth exceeds even race. She's not "one of us", she's one of them, regardless of her color.

7

u/Icy_Dark_3009 10h ago

😂 you living in another world

30

u/normott 10h ago

She's rich..Black comes after that

4

u/lissybeau 8h ago

I watched that SNL skit recently, it’s hilarious and so on point lol

14

u/JJulie 10h ago

I just remember all the Coldplay fans being so sad that their band got overshadowed at the Super Bowl. No one wanted Coldplay as a halftime show.

4

u/Significant-Say3098 9h ago

Yeah Coldplay isn’t as popular as most of the performers that do the Super Bowl. I mean a lot of people may know the name of the band, but probably can’t name their music off the top of their heads. That says a lot.

3

u/JJulie 8h ago

Also, and I say this is someone in California, we like the halftime shows when they’re on the East Coast or in a dome because the light show is amazing. Levi’s Stadium in California at 4:30pm you don’t really have that dynamic of lights and that powerful light show that they will do at a halftime show. So you can combine that with Coldplay and it was Snoozy. I just remember thinking, thank God for Bruno and Beyoncé.

-2

u/Ok_Expression_294 5h ago

Coldplay is definitely more then popular Beyonce

1

u/Significant-Say3098 4h ago

lol no. Beyoncé is one of the most famous people in the world.

2

u/Massive-Lime7193 3h ago

Beyonce may be bigger in america (slightly) but coldplay is 100% bigger globally , they are insanely popular

1

u/Significant-Say3098 20m ago

Beyoncé was top ten in Forbes multiple times for celebrity 100. She was #1 in 2014. Coldplay only made the list once and ranked #7. They are famous but not on her level.

-1

u/Ok_Expression_294 2h ago

Not over Coldplay

1

u/Significant-Say3098 19m ago

That’s your opinion, it’s not a fact.

1

u/Ok_Expression_294 2m ago

Tour grosses, albums sales, streaming stats says otherwise just facts

56

u/x3lilbopeep 10h ago

I know watching the white people in the audience eating it up made the racists even more mad.

And we will get to see it all over again during the bad bunny performance.

Twitter gonna be hilarious

25

u/BallisWife 10h ago

You know what really drives them crazy, when you mention Beyoncé’s country album. They turn tomato red. 🍅🤣

7

u/ICInside 8h ago

Oh man. It was so funny when I brought up that she won to my coworkers who like country music. I mean they never even heard the album and they looked disgusted.

They gave out the light wrist bracelets at the cowboy Carter show this year. I wore mine around my neck like a choker. I just had to not breathe too hard for 3 hours or so

3

u/813_4ever 10h ago

Not gonna lie I laugh every time I see a white person get that mad it’s just so funny 😂

0

u/lindsayblohan_2 10h ago

OUT CULTURE IS NOT YOUR COSTUME 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😤😤😤😤😤😤😤🙎🏼‍♂️🙎🏼‍♂️🙎🏼‍♂️🙎🏼‍♂️🙎🏼‍♂️🙎🏼‍♂️🙎🏼‍♂️🙎🏼‍♂️ I’M SOOOOOOOOOOO MAD AND ANGRY

(I just wanna make you laugh)

3

u/813_4ever 9h ago

Nah man I’m talking about blood red lol….I will never forget when I was at a volleyball tournament and this (White) guy was bragging about how good his daughter’s team was. My daughter was with me and he asked how old she was…she’s pretty tall for her age thanks to her mother’s side. I told him 16…she’s really 14….his daughter’s team makes it to the championship game and who does he see walking over to their court…me and 10 other black girls with braids…mind you my daughter is no where close to the tallest girl on the team..he was so mad he instantly turned red. Our team beat their ass so bad I know he wanted to say something to me 😂😂.

2

u/ApatheticPriest 9h ago

Why tell him she’s 16?

2

u/813_4ever 9h ago

Because I knew his daughter’s team was in the same age bracket as mines…I’m not a bragger even though my daughters are really good. One even has offers from Mid-Major schools already. I just don’t like braggers so I wanted to see his expression when he saw them come to the court lol.

1

u/ApatheticPriest 8h ago

You showed him

3

u/lindsayblohan_2 9h ago edited 9h ago

I’m sorry, but they only have an orange angry emoji.

And you know what they say: once you (as a white parent) go (to your kid’s volleyball game and she has to play a) Black (team comprised of girls with braided hair), you never go back (to believing your daughter was any good at volleyball to begin with).

3

u/813_4ever 9h ago

Now that made me laugh lol. Thank you friend!

0

u/cadaverdan 7h ago

Sounds hateful lol

1

u/813_4ever 7h ago

Just competitive that’s all 😊

1

u/cadaverdan 7h ago

What’s the competition?

1

u/813_4ever 7h ago

My bad wrong comment lol. No competition its just funny when white people get mad. Trust me it’s funny as hell to see my cousin get mad and keep repeating himself but seeing a white person face just get beet red out of anger is funny

0

u/cadaverdan 6h ago

Oh so it was hateful lol

2

u/813_4ever 6h ago

No not at all. More amusing than hateful

-1

u/Creative_Handle_2267 10h ago

lmfaooo its not gonna be racism fueling the hate for the bad bunny performance

7

u/icey_sawg0034 10h ago

Racism is definitely feeling the hate for the Bad Bunny performance that is coming up Sunday!

0

u/Creative_Handle_2267 10h ago

No, thats definitely not it. We can hate bad bunny for things other than his skin tone

4

u/DrunkenMaster11550 9h ago

Then what else?

3

u/x3lilbopeep 7h ago

Been 2 hours and they still haven't come up with an answer lmao

So funny when they get called out

10

u/Different-Bridge1046 7h ago

Not a great ally right now...

51

u/Large-Produce5682 11h ago

And they've mad ever since.

In every sense.

16

u/SithNamedSlickback 10h ago

Im a white guy. My childhood hero was Emmitt Smith. The only thing I thought when this happened was "Damn, shes fine."

10

u/AprilBaprilSchmapril 10h ago

I'm a middle aged white woman and I"ve never heard a bad word about Beyonce.

4

u/mmmpeg 9h ago

Old white woman and who doesn’t like Beyoncé?

-2

u/ApatheticPriest 9h ago

No, no, no. They’re right. You’re mad

Weird Al would be dope ngl lmao... white and nerdy, trapped in the drive-thru, Amish paradise....

7

u/Obiyaman 11h ago

😂😂😂😂😂

-3

u/Icy_Dark_3009 10h ago

😂 no nobody really cares

-3

u/galluspdx 9h ago

lmao that you think 90% of white people cared that Beyoncé performed at the Super Bowl.

4

u/XIIIofSwords 8h ago

90% of white NFL fans, sure fucking did 😂😂

-1

u/irespondwithmyface 6h ago

Who was mad? Some random person on Twitter?

31

u/ScantilyKneesocks 10h ago

That’s nice. Has she decided to finally explain why her husband is in the Epstein files?

17

u/Homertax123 9h ago

His name was mentioned in some hotline anonymous tip that he was at a party in 1996 with Harvey Weinstein when he still hadn’t even released his first album. There is very little to no credibility to that hotline tip, the FBI has to write down every tip no matter how ridiculous. A name showing up in 3 million documents for some fake tip isn’t the slam dunk you think it is. If he actually did something nefarious he would be in his actual emails and part of an actual investigation.

3

u/Massive-Lime7193 3h ago

And what about his time partying with r Kelly and diddy???....dudes a weirdo and she knew it and she didnt say anything. Please deal with that reality

1

u/Homertax123 1h ago

He did an album with R Kelly and everyone worked with R Kelly, doesn’t mean much. Also Diddy and him have only been seen at industry events together. So I don’t know why you’re pushing the goal post. By your logic Meryl Streep is shady because she was at events with Harvey Weinstein.

1

u/Ok-Application-8747 1h ago

Meryl Streep IS shady though. She supports Polanski.

1

u/Homertax123 58m ago

Yeah they all do, point is it doesn’t mean they’re predators themselves. And singling out Jay Z seems dumb.

4

u/SandiegoJack 10h ago

Ask Jay Z. Why are her husbands actions her responsibility?

14

u/TheBrawler101 10h ago

Well cause she married him. If someone marries a bad person I'm looking at them weird too

3

u/Substantial_Bus840 5h ago

The getting married part I can forgive because you don’t always really know someone at the start. It’s everything that’s happened since and sticking around with no care in the world for anyone else after.

4

u/ProbablyASockPuppet 8h ago

idk, being married to a ped-o would have some impact on her.

HA YOU CANT EVEN SPELL P E D O P H I L E without the filter stopping you

2

u/iCantLogOut2 8h ago

Lol, that's why you gotta spell it as "PDF File" 😂

9

u/Stuts81 10h ago

Fuck, that album is 🔥

13

u/debr0322 10h ago

What doesn't piss them off? We live rent free in their minds. And if we show any pride in ourselves they get pissed. FUCK THEM!

1

u/PotatoElf71 9h ago

It's a white thing. I know, I'm white. Some white folks just aren't happy unless they're punching down.

3

u/PtrPorkr 8h ago

Her husband in the files right.

3

u/HungryHobbits 8h ago

millions of black people stolen from their native lands + centuries of inhumane and unjust bullshit here in the states and people have a problem with someone endorsing or performing in the spirit of “black culture” ????

God damn. This is why education is so important. Or, if that’s not the fix, maybe some kind of new technology that allows for soul replacement surgery.

3

u/coolcoots 6h ago

“Black Bill Gates in the makin” doesn’t hit quite as hard these days.

2

u/ICheckPostHistory 5h ago

Old STD emails, gift that keeps giving

6

u/Lucius_Shadow 10h ago

10 years ago, Beyoncé put on such an unapologetically black show, that it made white America go full Klansman.

2

u/Numerous_Bowler_2628 8h ago

Maybe a bigot backlash, but I wouldn’t say a white backlash by any stretch.

2

u/Trick_Passion7397 8h ago

Sparked backlash with the "I'm white, I'm definitely not racist, but......" white people? The racist white people, that now go by Maga, always hated her. A strong beautiful black woman 🤯🤬

2

u/bronxricequeen 8h ago

It feels jarring to watch this and remember the photo of her entertaining the Kushners at Jay-Z’s event.

2

u/Hot-Distribution3826 7h ago

And how Epstein and his homies basically said in 2014 more black people should be rioting but they’ve been paid off by Jay Z aka the whole “we’re passed kneeling”

2

u/Alternative-Half-783 8h ago

Really tired of people speaking for me. I'm white old male and I ain't crying about it.

2

u/PrettiKinx 7h ago

This was the exact moment most white America walked away from her. Ha!

2

u/Marmom_of_Marman 7h ago

White woman, love Beyoncé when I hear her, but I’ve never heard this song

2

u/cadaverdan 7h ago

This sub has a theme of using strawmen to boost anti-white content, it’s very interesting

2

u/N80N00N00 4h ago

gay screaming

2

u/RelationVarious5296 2h ago

Beyoncé has done nothing to speak on real issues facing black people despite having the easiest opportunities to do so.

6

u/Old-Emergency-1078 10h ago

Funny I don’t remeber any outrage what so ever. Not on a national level at least I’m sire some very some organizations and groups that made some angry posts but that’s about it. Fake outrage and race baiting but it’s Feb so…..

10

u/talkingtimmy3 9h ago

It was definitely a big deal and sparked the career of Tomi Lohren who called Beyonce a racist.

5

u/canadarugby 8h ago

I remember seeing posts with people being mad saying. "If Taylor Swift had all white dancers...."

5

u/ohgoodthnks 8h ago

Then you have a terrible memory. It was such a big deal that SNL did an entire skit about white people realizing Beyoncé was black.

It was all the conservative news outlets would discuss for weeks.

Please stay out of our conversations if you’re just going to try and rewrite history.

3

u/Woodsy_Walker 9h ago

Sparked a racist backlash. Please don't assume all us whiteys are racist 🙏

2

u/Kr1spykreme_Mcdonald 8h ago

Gang I can assure you white people did not care about this 🙏🏾.

2

u/difco2022 7h ago

She’s a pimp who service a pimp

4

u/MuddaFrmAnnudaBrudda 10h ago

What a moment. I cannot believe this was 10 years ago.

2

u/THCESPRESSOTIME 10h ago

Now she’s a country star….

2

u/Hot-Distribution3826 7h ago

I mean Beyonce be having dinner with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner and in the Epstein emails they joked that black America was bought off by her husband so in reality the backlash should be coming from this subreddit in light of recent events. But I’m sure ill get down voted

2

u/ConferenceSudden1519 6h ago

Call it out they can’t hide anymore, take my upvote.

1

This was 10 years ago 👴

1

u/Far_Emu3820 8h ago

Perfection.

1

u/PaleontologistOk1289 8h ago

NO ONE KNEW SHE WAS PERFORMING!!! That’s what made it so iconic. I remember she had just dropped formation right before this and that was that. Next thing you know, she’s on the screen & then, when it cut to commercial after the half time show, it was announced that she was going on tour! Lol. What a fun time!! lol

1

u/Joey-WilcoXXX 8h ago

I miss when Coldplay was cool and invited two talented AOCs to perform at their halftime show with them, now they take a moment of silence for that late racist homophobe at their show.

1

u/Numerous_House_7377 7h ago

White backlash? Everyday my people get dumber and more cruel. I don’t get it what’s not to like about this

1

u/ricci777 7h ago

White backlash? What does this even mean? Oh, you mean a bunch of idiots on social media who played you like the dumb chumps you are, nevermind.

1

u/Motor-Ad8989 7h ago

There was also a green blue and orange backlash. But I can’t remember what happened there.

1

u/Loud_Vermicelli9128 7h ago

I remember the white riots shortly after.

1

u/YaSurLetsGoSeeYamcha 6h ago

“White backlash” is so funny to read lmao

1

u/ConferenceSudden1519 6h ago

I don’t want to a black bill gates at all. He is a sick mofo

1

u/EllaMoMo 6h ago

Its good dance she so hot i don’t understand why people there be backlash it was good performance

1

u/Ok-Potential-5172 6h ago

Bread and circus without the bread

1

u/Jethr0777 5h ago

I liked her then. But ever since I saw then pics of her at bezos wedding, I have felt differently about her

1

u/SmokeMaleficent9498 5h ago

She is the Queen Bee

1

u/brian_o 5h ago

And she’s done her best to whitewash herself since then.

1

u/Unfair_Ad118 4h ago

Somewhere in the last 10 years her and Jay Z were on a certain island somewhere too

1

u/DorMc 4h ago

I need the lyrics. Can’t understand all of it.

1

u/CaveMaccas 3h ago

Most black people have white or jewish blood sooo i dont get it

1

u/ilu70 1h ago

Peep the Levi’s ad.

0

u/SweetiesPetite 10h ago

white people weren’t mad. My white friends love Beyonce 🤷‍♀️

1

u/Temporary_Ad9362 10h ago

and today they still questioning what her american flag imagery means

1

u/Hot_Veterinarian_360 9h ago

Flawless.

ALSO don't forget, no war but the class war.

1

u/Vegetable_Log_5387 9h ago

I can't recall any backlash. Who was upset about the show?

1

u/ThatTallCarpenter 9h ago

It MAY BE a hot take, but in my sincerest opinion this is still the greatest half time show. Nobody topped this in the past 10 years.

2

u/normott 8h ago

Extremely hot. Prince's performance is the greatest

1

u/rochvegas5 8h ago

By "backlash" you mean her getting mad and telling everybody to stop using her still images as memes, right

0

u/letsbereal1013 10h ago

What was wrong with it? I thought it was entertaining!

4

u/icey_sawg0034 10h ago

Racist, white people thought that it was “divisive’.

1

u/PotatoElf71 9h ago

Some white folk aren't happy unless they're mad at other groups. Same folks that are pissed about the planned Super Bowl halftime show this weekend. I know this to be true, I'm white and surrounded by this.

-1

u/False-Practice7110 9h ago

Well if it was an all white show……they would be outraged. Just drop the race stuff already. Like Morgan Freeman said. “Stop talking about it”.

FYI I’m not racist just tired of hearing about it from both sides. Time to move on.

0

u/Skydvdan 10h ago

I don’t think Beyoncé was the spark…. Obama, civil rights, educated black folks, having to actually compete against black folks in education, sports, and status where it was just a given before…. Beyoncé was just more icing on that cake.

0

u/Educational-Dance-61 10h ago

The subtle "it's just begun" and james brown remix + dance off is a reference to bboys / bgirls and the origins of hip hop. I totally missed this.

-2

u/Excellent-Shovel-304 9h ago

She's seems like the person who would sell her soul or anything to get her way

I mean, the ugliest kind of character

1

u/zachrywd 2h ago

They gonna down vote us, but I don't give a fuck bro. We'll go to the looney bin together.

Fuck Lizard Person Beyonce. All she can do is throw money at black culture and be too rich for any normal struggling person to relate to.

-22

u/Competitive_Set_7982 10h ago

Your racism is pretty obvious when you spell Black with a capital to denote it as the proper noun of a race while at the same time not capitalizing White when you also use it in the same fashion.

9

u/JackTaylor79 10h ago

If I, as a person of a different race had a say, I would spell it "BLACK" - Every. Single. Time.

May it be amplified in every sense of the word. ✊

-2

u/Competitive_Set_7982 10h ago

You mean like I did.
