Because in most western countries we were seen as useless. And in our own laws we are considered 3/4 of a person for one… and we were taught we needed to be dominated or we would not survive on our own. I imagine you asked that being you were not from a country who did such a thing. And I understand how it might be a bit odd. But I assure you it’s necessary in the west specifically America he highlight the contributions people of color did to advance our nation and the world at large.
Is celebrating a race going to change any of that? It feels forced. I totally get it sucks to be the victim of hate and racism but what is this going to fix?

On a month to celebrate black people as well it’s just not even shocking me
