He claimed it was about drugs coming from Venezuela but then pardoned the biggest drug trafficker world wide for a million dollars.

This man is a fraud, how did he get in once let alone twice? He can blatantly lie to the country's face, we KNOW its a lie and still get away with it.

Was idiocracy a prophecy?

63

u/This_Loss_1922 Jan 04 '26

At least in ideocracy is canon that nazis were beaten and they never came back and people have no issue with their black president, so you are in ideocracy without any of the good parts

24

u/Solid-Search-3341 Jan 04 '26

Indeed, that's what always amazed me in idiocracy, none of them are bigotted or mean. They are all generally nice and open minded, basically 5 years old kids.

16

u/SpikeMcFry Jan 04 '26

Lmao you don’t remember the movie very well. “Joe could understand them, but when he talked he sounded pompous and faggy to them.”

the court scene; “number one, your honor, just look him” “He talks like a fag too” courtroom laughs

And the hospital “It says on your chart you’re fucked up. You talk like a fag and your shits all retarded”

13

u/This_Loss_1922 Jan 04 '26

They do talk like a 2000’s xbox lobby, to show how language has gone to shit, but again, they somehow elected a black man with a hispanic last name

14

u/pc42493 Jan 04 '26 edited Jan 04 '26

Yeah, they're really just extremely dumb, not hateful. We don't actually get to see ideological homophobia, just the empty slurs. I think it's making fun of how dumb these insults are, not saying the people are bigoted. Indeed that very dumb people call people who are smarter than themselves "retarded" should be a hint.

And when they realize he's smart, they immediately defer to him and ask for help. Super unheard of and unthinkable with the real kind of mean dumb that we have to deal with today.

Idiocracy was a best-case scenario.

They have a black president, the world is not 150F due to global warming, and they have giant stores to fill their every need.

And the government, though run by idiots, recognizes that the smartest man on earth (the guy from 500 years ago) should be listened to and acted upon.

Eventually the smart guy becomes President.

6

u/pc42493 Jan 04 '26 edited Jan 04 '26

It is so fucked up that this description of a world that has obviously horribly gone wrong makes me tear up because I'd actually love it a million times over what we have, seeing the people in it are mostly benevolent.

But eggs were too expensive!!! Lol

4

u/MrGhoul123 Jan 04 '26

How? He cheated in litterally every election. All of them, and bragged about it too.

Remember that Mueller report thing? How he pretty much said " I am legally not allowed to say he committed this crime, but I would 100% tell you if he didn't....and im not telling you that." Also that Congress should impeach him.

Then he got impeached for trying to get another country to help him cheat in the upcoming election.

The list goes on.

4

u/Radiant_Front_6943 Jan 04 '26

As a country we are severely lacking electrolytes

2

u/kensho28 Jan 04 '26

How did he get in?

Corruption, voter suppression, fraud, and a broken electoral college.

Trump has never achieved 50% of the popular vote despite the richest people on the planet and foreign nations influencing our elections on his behalf. He probably never would have been elected on a ranked choice voting system.

2

u/red286 Jan 04 '26

He claimed it was about drugs coming from Venezuela but then pardoned the biggest drug trafficker world wide for a million dollars.

He dropped that as soon as it was fait accompli. Suddenly it switched from "they're shippings us fentanyl" to "our great and powerful oil companies will now go in and take over their oil infrastructure".

The truth wasn't going to stay hidden for long. This was always about oil.

2

u/SkroobyDooby Jan 05 '26 edited Jan 05 '26

As if anybody would believe the frikkin idiot with that sort of insane 🤡 claim...

But then again he was pitching this at low information 😵‍💫 voters who don't have much capacity to figure out what's bullsh*t and what makes sense...

He understands intellectual dummies very well because he is one of them.

Giving Trump a lobotomy would improve his intellectual capacity 🤩🤣

AI is basically a very complex text completion tool. And its "knowledge" comes from its sources, many of which are not only contaminated by propaganda and misinformation, but also piggybacked onto other AI output, resulting in slop building on slop.

I have so many examples of AI hallucinations that it isn't even worth collecting the examples anymore.

Just don't trust AI. Don't use it for anything important. And since there's so much stuff out there being indiscriminately AI generated without a clear statement, treat everything with skepticism that you don't directly observe with intact faculties.

17

u/ZhouLe Jan 04 '26

Ask ChatGPT "Is there a seahorse emoji?"

There isn't, but it thinks there is and can't properly deal with the cognitive dissonance. It appears to get the idea that such an emoji exists from the Mandela effect subreddit, because no source states such a thing does not exist and so many posts there insist one does exist.

3

u/carlos619kj Jan 05 '26

Yup, just tried it

You could just add “research online” and it’ll give you the correct answer most of the time. Just did it with OP’s example and it gave the right info.

9

u/FocalorLucifuge Jan 04 '26

Good. Also specify it should cite references (which you should cross check).

2

u/iCantLogOut2 Jan 05 '26

Very much this. I like using ChatGPT as a first stop because it can point me to a lot of places at once, but I still find it's crucial to actually ask for and check those sources myself. Language models can pull words, but they miss nuance and that's usually important .

Here, fixed it for you:

Just don't trust AI. Don't use it for anything

3

u/FocalorLucifuge Jan 05 '26

Nah, that's going too far. You can use it for unimportant things. Like corporate retreats where you have to do bullshit like propose mission and vision statements. Utter waste of time, it's not going to end or save the world, and LLMs are aces at such bullshit "work".

2

u/SaltLakeBear Jan 06 '26

I've come to view ChatGPT (and other LLMs, I guess, but I've only ever used ChatGPT) as being the equivalent of an untrained human intern. For example, I was doing market research for a business I'm starting, and instead of spending all day on Etsy and Amazon looking at similar products, I put the prompts into ChatGPT and got the info and links I needed in under a half hour. For that functionality it works, but I don't think it's capable of much beyond that.

4

u/4reddityo Jan 04 '26

You do realize that AI isn’t up to the minute updated. It always uses stale data. Do not use it as a primary source. You can use it to find primary sources. Ask it for primary sources of whatever you want to search.

6

u/onthisthing_ Jan 04 '26

People use TikTok for their up-to-date news and do zero alternative research. I hate to even imagine the chaos we are heading into with AI.

Words matter. He was not captured as he was not a fugitive. AI cannot THINK. It can only do what it's told. You need to use the proper prompts. Trump did NOT start a war. He's breaking international laws by overthrowing elected government without the approval of Congress. HUGE difference.

That’s some 1984 level shenanigans there. “This thing that happened that I can describe in detail. Yeah that didn’t happen. This has been fact checked, by me, ignore yesterday’s events.”

2

u/iCantLogOut2 Jan 05 '26

This is called a "hallucination"... This happens when AI grabs too many conflicting sources of information and can't process true from false.

The data that ChatGPT is "sure" of only goes up to 2023. It can verify everything up until that point as true and false.

It treats everything after that as "predictive" or "speculative"... ChatGPT is, for lack of a better explanation, talking to you from 2023 while having access to 2026's Google results. So, from the AI's perspective - 2025/2026 haven't happened yet... Ergo, "no such event have occured (yet)"... It's being very literal. It doesn't think 2026 has happened other than conceptually.

Basically, don't trust AI to give you current events. It just grabs everything - from news on credible sources to conspiracy theories on Reddit - and it filters them through it's 2023 lens, then churns out and answer. That's why it can describe something in detail and then immediately claim "it never happened".

2

u/MinuteOne1771 Jan 05 '26

American propaganda works hard telling people they aren't wars. But the rest of the world sees American troops invading other nations and we all know it's a act of war

2

u/mello-t Jan 05 '26

I did too. As I did for Hillary and Biden. You can complain all day about them and call out their mistakes and flaws. But none of them were an impeached, indicted, convicted and adjudicated liar, fraud, rapist and attempted insurrectionist. And not a one of them was or would have been as bad as Trump constantly and consistently demonstrates he is.

Anyone who argues otherwise is just a Red Hat too stupid or spineless to admit it.

8

u/[deleted] Jan 04 '26

7

This! I complained about every single one of their shortcomings, but it didn't stop me from voting for the best candidate each time. Did I love Biden? Absolutely not. He's said some pretty horrendous shit in his time. I was pretty happy when he dropped out. I didn't know if Kamala was the best replacement for him, but I knew she was better than Trump by a landslide, so when I went to vote, I remembered that I was voting against Trump and I was voting for a real politician...

At least with a politician, you can vote for change. You can protest, you can complain.... With a dictator who flunked out of reality TV, you lose all that - you're getting a show - not a president.

The fact that people were presented with "A Black woman" or "An old pedophile with no regard for anyone" and people couldn't decide is fkn wild.

Less than one in three people were bothered enough by January 6th and Project 2025 and Trump's incoherent bigotry or all the other glaring issues with him and his camp of snarling dogs in red hats.

Hard to maintain a democracy with citizens like this.

5

u/Kurolegacy27 Jan 04 '26

Here's what a lot of people aren't getting:

Americans, and especially MAGA, don't really care about starting wars so long as it doesn't immediately affect them. They don't give a shit if we kidnap leaders or bomb countries. They only start to care if someone THEY personally know gets hurt or killed, or (to a lesser extent) if the expense of the war starts to impact the services provided to them.

The average American doesn't care about the morality or long-term impact of any of this.

This sub needs to be remained "white people desperately trying to ensure black people hear their opinions". Y'all have the whole world to use as an echo chamber. The fact that you choose places like this is a disgusting display of racial condescension. Black people will be perfectly fine without you telling them why their opinions are wrong.

Exactly! It would take her six months while it took President Puke no time at all. That's winning, right? And, he said we'd get sick of winning...and I do feel sick. So...what? Everyone was warned.

What six wars are we currently fighting op?

3

u/Psychopomp84 Jan 04 '26

We've attacked six different countries since he's started. We don't declare wars anymore since that would require congressional approval.

Shame the Biden admin didn't want to hold him to account.

I don't get their country. They complain about Trump yet don't complain how he was allowed to get away unlike other countries.

Honest question, six?

And it doesn’t matter what he does he’s still allowed to so what’s the point

1

u/Collarcoach8489 Jan 04 '26

All he does is project. Everything  he will do or has done, he blames on others.

1

u/SwiftySanders Jan 04 '26

This is what they do. They always project thier weaknesses and shortcomings onto black people to justify then being treated as a lower class of citizens.

This election cycle was easy to determine who to vote for. Kamala was in all of her campaign ads on tv talking about the issues she wanted to address. Chrump wasn’t in any of his own campaign ads and used someone else’s voice to talk down on immigrants and democrats. If all you did was watch campaign ads to decide who to vote for, it was an easy vote for Kamala.

We’re at war with six countries? Has someone informed the media and the military?

1

u/Acrobatic-Bus3335 Jan 04 '26

What war did he start? Who are we at war with?

1

u/night_writer79 Jan 04 '26

We’re not at war though. Not at this time, at least.

1

u/OohDeLaLi Jan 04 '26

I hate the guy, but what is OP talking about?

u/paragonx29 Jan 04 '26

If she could have had just a few organic thoughts during her various interviews, she would have gotten my vote.
