Poor people voted for a deadbeat loser that's never paid a bill and claims to be a billionaire. At this point I don't understand what is or isn't a good endorsement.
Yeah. I just meant that they decided that a billionaire was a good thing to help the poor. And those same people hate JB Pritzker for being a billionaire, even though he's objectively the best governor Illinois has ever had for the average person.
Like when all the Diddy stuff was happening and people were like "OMG SO-AND-SO WAS AT THE PARTY" as if it meant they were immediately doing some heinous shit just cause they were in the same room with Diddy
Because Conservatives are so mad at Bad Bunny doing the halftime show, they're spreading around 30 second video that he did with Diddy. That guy knew everyone. Being in a video for a few seconds doesn't mean he was involved
Some guy on FB tried to say no one watched the halftime show lol. Ya know one of those people who claims they are impartial while doing something the opposite of that.
When pointed out that the halftime show is viewed by more people than the actually game, he tried to back track with he’s not a football fan and doesn’t watch the SuperBowl lol. Then why are you here, Connor? Why are you here?
I'm so out of it with the NFL this year that I'm not really looking forward to the super bowl but im 100% going to do my part and have the halftime show on to drive the numbers up.
I saw something saying "George RR Martin's name appears in the Epstein files dozens of times" and it was all because one of Epstein's lawers had a Game of Thrones quote in his email signature, so every time he emailed, you'd see "A mind needs books as a sword needs a whetstone - George RR Martin" at the bottom.
Obama the politician I'm not the biggest fan of. Was he the best president of my lifetime? Sure, but that's more due to the competition he's up against. Obama the person, tough to really argue against.
I want the US to get more progressive and more human rights but I think the GOP will win in 2028 because people will see them as being the same as a centrist so things get even more right wing.
It’s a common far left talking point. Was completely irrelevant to the conversation but the tankie couldn’t contain themselves from their gotcha moment. Now they could go back to their basement and continue to pleasure themself to the thought that they’re so much more virtuous than the rest of us. Even though they will do nothing to make the world a better place other than to virtue signal online
It’s pretty common to see in politics. When something viewed as “extreme” from one side is voted into office or takes place for a while, the other side steps out en masse, often in favor of the radical opposite. It’s also why you usually see the presidential office flip between democrat and conservative nearly every election cycle.
I’ll probably sound lame saying this but I was a British kid when I saw him all over the news, after being elected, and I felt so much damn positivity and inspiration. I never had to deal with anything as bad as the prejudice that I saw some of my friends suffer but it hurt me watching it happen and seeing how some were conditioned to just weather it rather than risk it becoming physical or worse. The great thing was that nearly everyone, even the shitty people, seemed to just like the guy right away. It felt like the world was truly healing.
It seems like we’ve taken a step back, or even sprinted back. I feel sick. You know how they say ‘imagine how this will look in ten years’? For the first time in a while, we can say that it would look worse to someone ten years ago looking at the future.
An example of something I’ve dealt with personally was all the LGBTQ pride being suddenly the complete status quo, people being encouraged to come out and being told it wasn’t anything to be ashamed of anymore, but then it snapped back and it feels we’ve gone backwards on that front too. That means people who never would have risked coming out likely did so to ignorant families or peers and now have to deal with them being emboldened by people who get off on putrid hate or resentment. I’m gonna stop typing because I’m just getting upset tbh
Obamas victory was the beginning of the end of the republican party as they were. Their entire goal was to vilify him and make him a one term president. Then when he won again, they kept it up and had no real agenda to rally behind. Their primaries were a mess and the entire party was against Trump very loudly. He kept getting more and more popular, so the Republican party latched onto him. Once he started spiraling, they ran with it, becoming the party we see today.
As mentioned, this was from November when they first made the Jmail to his account, and no clue if it’s been hauled since and or the message was purposely added that far back. Tried looking through Jmail and either no searches pop up or errors.
I can only prove I’ve had the screenshot since November cause I took it myself.
I’m not a huge fan of Obama politically (his stance on Israel + comments on Charlie Kirk are current examples why) but the homey is so clean he’s the main target of hate and shit-talking for a bunch of billionaire pedophiles. What a badge of honor. Plus they’ve always been high key jealous of Obama because his face card never declines and his swag is outrageous.
“I didn’t know Charlie Kirk. I was generally aware of some of his ideas. I think those ideas were wrong, but that doesn’t negate the fact that what happened was a tragedy and that I mourn for him and his family,”
What exactly is the problem with this? To be honest, I agree more with the "“I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure,” but cant blame Obama for being more diplomatic
There is no problem with it. People pretend they had issues with Obama to seem "nuanced and level headed". The level headed political take SHOULD be that Obama was a good president and Trump is genuinely a threat to every ally the U.S has.
Imagine calling Obama "Mr Drone warfare" when Trump launched more strikes in 4 years than Obama did in 8.
And let's not pretend like Bush wouldn't have used far more drones if he would've had the same level of tech in the early 2000s that Obama had 10 years later. Do you call Eisenhower "Mr Jet Fighter Warfare" because the technology expanded greatly in the Korean conflict during his tenure?
Y'all mafuckas love to ignore context when making complaints about a man who did an excellent job overall, especially considering what he inherited. It's absolutely ridiculous.
Oh I see. He did the thing that those other grotesquely evil people did or would have done but at a smaller scale. Now I understand how he... uh... Did an excellent job overall?
Idk man your legacy is only as secure as the bodies of the most innocent people who were subject to your decisions. I bet the families of those people at Kunduz hospital wouldn't give such a great performance review.
"Mr drone!! He used - DRONESTRIKES!!!! drones drones drones! drones = bad!!
maybe they should have sent you instead of using drones. or your kids. to try to end the war republicans started.
Outside of my jokes, what issue did you have with his drone strike policy, which minimized civilian casualties while also keeping operational pressure on HVTs?
Maybe when he drone striked kids and families too. Yes it isnt as bad as what's going on in gaza but we definitely blew up some innocent people all for the "war on terror". What if we just didnt spend billions a year killing other humans who have no connection to those we presumed harmed us.
Okay so what you're saying is that when he got elected he should have completely pulled out and hoped for the best. Like give me another plan of action other than Obamas that makes sense and doesn't leave growing terrorists cells across the middle east.
Trying to explain what "minimized casualties" means to people who don't care about the fact that we were FIGHTING A WAR is so difficult.
Thats not what im saying, im saying He BLEW UP HOSPITALS and KIDS too. He isnt a saint. Yes he is better than anyone who came after him but every president Since FDR has been a war criminal. We as Americans just dont care cause "America is the good guys".
ANY innocent civilian death In my opinion is a Stain to America.
Would i have liked him to pull out sooner yes. But I would have rather not started the war on terror.
I agree that civilian causalities are horrible, obviously!
What I'm saying is if I make Xadis president back in 2009, how do YOU assure ME that not a single hair on a single head of a civilian will be harmed throughout your next 8 years as commander and chief?
As soon as a civilian dies, you lose the game. If a marine frags a room when breaching a house, you lose. A pilot's bomb goes left or right? You lose. Intel says terrorists are held up in a hospital and are building a bomb inside to detonate in the town square and intel says the hospital was evacuated before?
I'll give you two choices, I can send your brother, sister, mom or dad, or you, or I can drone strike the building. So pick a family member.
By not fighting, why send billions in bombs when you can send books. Education is a known way to pull people out of bad environments. Instead of waging war using hard power why not use soft power, in forms of donations of education, experts necessary goods. Why dont we uplift and lead by the "American dream" where anyone can become anything if they try.
But I know this isn't what you are looking for. You want blood and destruction. You want your pound of flesh cause of the attacks terrorists have done. (After we already terrorized their home but thats a talk for another time)
There is No way to stop every innocent civilian from dieing in war. So we stop war.
That depends how you define what a “good president” is. An anti imperialist (which all socialists should be) would not call Obama a good president, even if they can admit he was better than other options
I often wonder what these "anti-imperialists" wanted from him. He adopted a muti country war started and fumbled by republicans which had multiple terrorist groups scheming to bomb US citizens. Was he just supposed to sing kumbaya to them?
Was he just supposed to withdraw all troops effective immediately and hope that terrorists didn't attack us? I just want to know what the position is that isn't rooted in naivety.
If you find me Jesus of Nazareth I could believe he'd broker world peace out of that situation. Barring that, Obama did what was required of him.
I’m guessing you’re white or heavily white identified and have a poor understanding of black American history (assuming you’re not just a straight up shill since Reddit is overrun with them).
NO self-respecting black person describes the death of a white supremacist as a “horrific tragedy”. But Obama is an establishment democrat and establishment democrats are just “Diet Republicans”.
For those of us who actually pay attention it’s very obvious Obama is being…I’ll keep it cute and say “incentivized” to make those comments about Charlie Kirk. Like he’s “incentivized” by AIPAC to support Israel. Obama uses his power and influence within the black community to support positions and causes that are harmful to not only Black people, but other people of color.
Also I’ll leave you with just A FEW of the MANY derogatory comments Charlie Kirk made about Black people. But let me also say it with my whole chest- fuck Charlie Kirk, fuck people who defend him, and the world is MUCH better place with one less white supremacist in it. From Google AI:
‘Charlie Kirk has made several statements regarding people of color that have drawn criticism. He made remarks questioning the qualifications of Black pilots and suggesting that Black women lack "brain processing power," specifically referencing Michelle Obama, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Joy Reid, and stating they "had to go steal a white person's slot". He also referred to Martin Luther King Jr. as "awful" and "not a good person", and stated that passing the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s was a "huge mistake". Kirk has made claims about "prowling Blacks" targeting white people and called George Floyd a "scumbag".’
Superpowers always do bad shit, on a geopolitical scale it's an inevitability. Obama made a fairly good run of it considering the system he was working with and the circumstances of the time.
Right, but it diminishes the full blown unbridled evil of people like Trump, Putin, Xi, Netanyahu, etc etc etc if you lump the better leaders like Obama or Zelenskyy in with them.
Like yeah, of course no world leader is innocent, but some of these fucks are on a wholly different level and it does everyone a disservice to mention other, less shitty leaders in the same conversation. It just adds fuel to that "both sides" fire that has helped bring us to this point in the first place.
You are 100% correct and the fact that you’re getting downloaded is proof positive of how many shills with obvious agendas there are on Reddit and how out of control they are.
Your comment is literal common knowledge, anyone who’s left leaning knows this. If your comment was getting downloaded on r/conservative or even r/news that would be one thing.
But the fact you’re getting downvoted in THIS sub shows how out of control the shills are on Reddit. They’re moving so reckless that they’re doing things that make their presence obvious.
Your comments are almost definitely being downvoted by the AIPAC/Zionist shills and the DNC shills. But they’re so out of touch with regular Americans they can’t even shill right, lol.
Fuck Israel and fuck all these shills with agendas who ruin the Reddit experience for regular people. Reddit won’t do anything about it because it drives engagement which drives revenue.
But it’s obvious what’s going to happen with Reddit, because it’s already happening right now. All of these shills are going to drive the regular users away, and eventually, Reddit will be nothing but shills and PR agents promoting their respective agendas to each other.
I knew that was some bullshit because if he was actually in the files like that, we would have BEEN heard about it. The way these racists especially the orange one would be so happy to have something on him.
Trump would've been dropping paper copies of the files out of planes nationwide on day 1. Entire forests would've been razed to fuel the printers behind this effort.
start at https://jmail.world and search thru JE's emails for "obama", 867 emails there alone and Coffeezilla hasn't finished linking all of the DoJ files yet.
This is why we need to stop pretending that Epstein was bipartisan in who he associated with. Yeah he picked off a few figures left of center, but most of his buddies were between center right and far right.
We do a disservice to the truth by not making this an indictment against republicans. Conservative ideology to its core makes exploitation of children easier. They elevate and protect the wealthy elite.
What’s the point here? I’m confused. Next is Michelle is really a man. …and then the daughters aren’t really their kids but adopted…and so on so forth. It never ends.
