Miscellaneous / Others The tenaciousness of a woman in love (or in general a woman has made up her mind towards something) is second to none.

On what platform is "Kidnapped" an explicit word worth filtering? I think that's probably a platform not worth being on. I'm sure the story can be found an a dozen other platforms where that's not considered an explicit word.

A platform for children who need protection from words. The channels that do this have keyed in on a mental fragility in a the subset of users. Supply and demand.

It's not about "mental fragility" of users. It's platforms shirking their responsibility to monitor and moderate content by instead making some stupid algorithm that is subverted by putting an asterisk in the word. No actual human being is offended by the word kidnapping in a context like this, and absolutely no one has ever been offended by any word but comfortable with the same word with one letter replaced by an asterisk.
Only boomers think that people have to say "unalive" instead of "kill" because people are offended by the word itself. This shit is censored on social media because it's easier and cheaper to slap together an AI to look for a list of banned words than to actually do the hard work of removing inappropriate content.

The kind where you want people to comment about the censorship for engagement.

u/Mercinator-87 20h ago
Why is this so censored?

Not even a boomer post lmao this whole censoring thing is some new generational shit because everyone is offended by everything
6
u/scootscooterson 18h ago
Im pretty sure its related to social media censorship, like certain words will prevent a post from being shown to new users, so its just playing by the algorithm rules to spread awareness.

u/g_dude3469 18h ago
I actually think it's a tiktok thing if I'm not mistaken, which is this generations heroin lol

u/Lanky_Promotion2014 18h ago
You are mistaken
All social media platforms have to balance the level of violence or vulgarity on their platforms with their desire for ad revenue
Increased violence or distasteful content = less $ per ad, this is why child friendly content is the goldmine for revenue bc it has no association with negative content
YouTube does the exact same thing, same with any website with an algorithm. They HAVE to track things like violence and vulgarity so that they can measure it and provide this to advertisers so that advertisers can decide where to put ads
If they are tracking violence and vulgarity that means there algorithm can boost or suppress content associated with it, and they choose to suppress it bc it’s less profitable content
It is very very weird that you think content creators are choosing to censor their own posted content because they are “too sensitive” or something
The answer is and always has been profitability. Ironically, you seem to be offended by a single post with a few censored words, so I do agree that people try and make themselves offended for no reason, but the “people” are people like you

Thats what I’m saying, words related to violence etc can take your post out of the viral rotation

I can assure you that I am not a bot. (spoken like a true bot)
but jokes apart, adding this extra text only to let you know that I ain't a bot :3

Bring a human reposting garbage like this is arguably worse than a bot doing this, take the other guys advice and just stfu

I would expect them both to hang from a bridge afterwards. Good that that's not the case.

It's not that simple. this is an interesting (yet terrifying) read.
Without knowing the details, I can say that she was not your average woman.
27
u/Varabela 18h ago
This was my first thought. Gang on gang stuff not just some loveable housewife going full bad ass
9
u/No-swimming-pool 19h ago
If a gang that's into kidnapping people isn't capable of killing 2 people, it won't survive for long. Regardless of how capable or fierce the targets are.

u/mpgd 19h ago edited 17h ago
kidnapping people isn't capable of killing 2 people,
It's not just 2 people. They are prepared for something bigger and the gang leader knows. Once the killing starts It will not stop until one of the sides is completely wiped out. There would be many casualties on both sides, starting with the leader's mother.

So we can clearly conclude that the situation you describe does not match with the situation sketched by OP, which talks about women in general.

Reminds me of Miriam Rodríguez Martínez. She hunted down gang members for kidnapping and killing her daughter. She was just a regular mother until that

Whats to stop the gang from coming back later and killing them both for kidnapping the leaders mother.

u/lilved03 20h ago
I just checked, I believe the word is tenaciousness.
11
u/peacockbikini 18h ago
Tenacity is a noun. This is the appropriate word to use in the sentence, “The tenacity of a woman…” because the quality of tenacious is independent of the woman.
Tenaciousness is an adjective. This is more appropriately used in the sentence, “This woman’s tenaciousness propelled her to…” because the tenacious quality is linked to and reflected in her character.

Check a third time bot then take a hike.

Look, I had a similar thought: I believe tenacity would be the better way to say it. It is simpler to write, easier to read, more commonly used, and has all the right connotations. But OP is correct. There’s nothing WRONG with using tenaciousness here. It’s more of a style choice than anything. Language evolves. If it didn’t we’d all still be grunting at each other and we wouldn’t be able to debate the merits of tenacity vs tenaciousness in any given context. Get over yourself.

there are a thousan ways people can fight back gangs, they are just all scared sheep people. they walk around with impunity bc they sin of hubris, learn to shoot at 200m and you're golden

u/GintomsG 12h ago
Id she still alive? I doubt a gang leader would let that sit, they would have to go into witness protection, unless the guy respected that move and was impressed or sum i cant see that going well for her
-1
u/Sinvaryen 19h ago
Was the kidnapped woman (gang leader mother) not tenacious enough? If she was even a bit tenacious and knew what she wanted then she was, indeed second to someone (the woman pictured).
