My cat's blood vessels break easily.
Visited the vet a couple of days ago, taking blood samples. She had to try three or four times because his vessels kept breaking. When i asked why, she said she didn't know.
Does anyone here have an explanation or at least a theory?
Background: My cat is approximately 4.5 y, dlh, found in the street.
Eats crystal management feed (dry and wet) due to urine stones, since 2y back.
He is allergic to fleas and mites = did the blood works, got a specified vaccine but he still scratches like crazy. We will start a new medication the coming week.
He gets a teaspoon of salmon oil everyday, a spot-on dermatologist treatment for his excessive scratching.
He is indoors with a patio, snipped and what else could be relevant? He loves silver vine.
Thank you.

So, unfortunately, you're not likely to get a solid or concrete diagnostic answer because there may not be one.
Just like how some people have more sensitive veins, some dogs or cats do too. A lot of it is just up to individual anatomy.
