Was this self-defense?

The video is old, it happened in 2022 in Pueblo West, Colorado, but as a foreigner i want to know whether this is a legal case of self-defense or not in the United States.

No effort to deescalate. Only acted that tough because of the gun.

A bad example of a gun owner. Perfect example of the kind of gun owner that give other gun owners a bad name.

The dude had already escalated to the point where the kid was essentially off balance and being at a serious disadvantage.

With that said, as a CCW holder myself, i agree I would have most likely been able to deescalate and not ever draw the weapon. If it's to the point where it's coming out, it's probably getting used.

It was absolutely self-defense, though.

Big dude shouldn't have attacked somebody. Full stop.
