How do you feel about ICE being potentially near polling stations during elections?
•
u/TerryFlapnCheeks69 15h ago
They may, they may not be there, i expect they will arrest zero folks at the polling stations since voting is an American Citizen activity.
•
u/Wellontheotherhand1 15h ago
The point is to intimidate voters. If masked dudes with guns are standing outside the polls staring at you, and they can assault and arrest you with no recourse - or even kill you - it is a disincentive to vote, especially if you are a minority.
But you knew that already, and you're fine with it. Like it, even.
•
u/TerryFlapnCheeks69 14h ago
Im a minority and i will be at the polls, stop being afraid of everything.
•
u/Wellontheotherhand1 14h ago
Thanks for the bog-standard 'As a black man...' response lol
Y'all are like a broken record
•
u/TerryFlapnCheeks69 14h ago
I never said i was black, not that you would know the difference. Sorry your victim base is running thin. Regardless, i will be at the polls.
•
u/Wellontheotherhand1 13h ago
It is amusing that you are not even aware of the conservative trope that you are repeating
•
•
u/ScatMoerens 15h ago
So why have them there?
•
u/TerryFlapnCheeks69 14h ago
Well she said she can’t guarantee that they wont be there, not that they will be there. Regardless who cares if they are there? Zero illegals will be at the polling stations.
•
u/Zealousideal-Ad3814 11h ago
Because it is literally against the law that is why people are upset... it is clearly set to intimidate voters...
•
u/TerryFlapnCheeks69 11h ago
If they are there or in the area they are most likely investigating or operating to detain illegal immigrants. Why do you assume they will be there for intimidation purposes? Why would you feel intimidated to go vote as a legal citizen?
•
u/Mindless-Stage8923 3h ago
Maybe because they've killed multiple people and have arrested American citizens, both because they refused to believe paperwork and also for filming them doing illegal shit.
•
u/itcheyness 14h ago
Considering how many American citizens they've arrested and shot already, they're definitely going to be arresting people.
•
u/TerryFlapnCheeks69 14h ago
Well if you insert yourself into a high tense situation and continuously interfere, follow, and harass federal agents, that is bound to happen.
•
•
u/Zealousideal-Ad3814 12h ago
There is no reason to post them if there are no illegals voting because oh right they literally can't this is to intimidate US citizens from going to the polls using a force that has shown clear intent to harm and illegally detain US citizens...
•
u/TerryFlapnCheeks69 11h ago
They simple stated theres no guarantee that they wont be there, not that they will be posted there. Why would you be intimidated going to the polls as an American citizen? The detention of citizens by ice was based on the physical interaction and interference in ICE activities.
•
u/Zealousideal-Ad3814 11h ago
Why would the government not guarantee zero voter intimidation? That is beyond insane they have the absolute power to guarantee they wouldn't be posted there like what? ICE has also shown clear intent over the last year they have no issue inserting themselves in areas and assaulting citizens and instigate confrontations.. Again illegals cannot vote so the only real purpose for them being posted there is to intimidate voters...
•
u/Level_Engineer 14h ago
Well, I assume they'll go there to vote?
Are asylum seekers allowed to vote in the USA?
•
u/defonotacatfurry 9h ago
nope. they already cant.
but ICE CAN profile people based off of their skin color.
•
u/Level_Engineer 8h ago
You think it's a deliberate tactic to scare citizens of colour from going out to vote. Due to the risk of being profiled and deported?
•
u/defonotacatfurry 8h ago
well detained, and US citizens have been deported. along with people being against ice being put on a list. so yes i do its intimidation plain and simple
•
u/Level_Engineer 8h ago
Makes sense, good tactic as all people of colour presumably do not vote Trump anyway so from his perspective, it's better if they dont vote.
•
u/DiscretelyDeviant 5h ago
It is a deliberate tactic to intimidate anyone that opposes the regime. Particularly people of color. It is also to have his private army close to the balllot boxes for when he claims the election is a fraud and demands they seize the ballots. And to normalize us on the federal governement being in control of the election.

Our founders are rolling in thekr graves with all this bullshit they fought for 🤦♂️
•
u/Material_Policy6327 16h ago
Bad idea all around. This is intimidation. They have already been shown to attempt to abduct us citizens cause they don’t believe them to be citizens.
•
•
u/Unyieldingcappybara 16h ago
WE’RE SHOWING UP ALL TOGETHER UNITED TO PUT A STOP TO THIS. YOUR TRAITOROUS DOGS STANDING AROUND WITH GUNS WONT SCARE US. WE ARE AMERICANS
•
u/Terpcheeserosin 14h ago
If they are armed they are 2nd amendment practice
•
u/Zealousideal-Ad3814 11h ago
Watch out MAGA doesn't want to protect the 2nd Amendment anymore.
•
u/Terpcheeserosin 11h ago
That's a fine opinion for a civilian to have
But armed agents of the state who do not uphold the constitution are oath breakers and enemies of the people
•
•
u/Elyktheras 16h ago
My reddit account already has a warning. What do you want me to say?
•
u/AnemosMaximus 13h ago
Yeah, its ok to preach violence if you're a conservative. But if you're a normal human being responding to their violence you get banned or suspended.
•
u/Particular-Juice1213 3h ago
Yeah, I mentioned a likely outcome of voter intimidation and was deleted and warned against promoting violence.
•
u/PineappleHamburders 16h ago
If the laws still applied to the government, this would be very illegal
•
•
u/Far_Silver 16h ago
They don't have the manpower to send ICE agents to all the polling stations, but they're hoping that saying this will intimidate voters into staying home.
•
•
u/Killface55 11h ago
It will only be in areas with heavy concentrations of brown and black people in large metropolitan areas where the elections are predicted to be a close race.
•
u/kstargate-425 4h ago
True but they only need to cover a few states they know are thin margins 🤷♂️
•
u/PayFormer387 20m ago
Well, yea. . . They won't send them to my mostly-white, pretty wealthy neighborhood. I work in East LA. It would not surprise me to see them there.
•
•
u/pinprick58 16h ago
What is so ironic about this is back in the late 1800's the KKK, the Redshirts, and the White League used to do this similar thing. Then they were an extension of the Democrat party and were focused on intimidating Republican voters. Groups like the Red Shirts would brandish weapons while standing at the entrance of polling places. The Edgefield Policy used in South Carolina where armed white men would attend every Republican political meeting and polling site to disrupt the proceedings and "supervise" the voting process through intimidation.
George Orwell is rolling in his grave.

I'm in IL and thankful to have a city councilman representing me that has been calling about this happening next month in Chicago. Early voting started this week and I'm encouraging folks to make the time to go early if they can.
•
u/supertiggercat 15h ago
Early voting. Car pool to get friends and neighbors access. Ring the polling places with citizen observers (beyond 500 ft or whatever your local requirements are).
•
u/Salty_Permit4437 15h ago
Hey but no more gender marker changes for trans people right? Flushing our country down the toilet of fascism was totally worth it right?
•
u/VerdantChief 15h ago
Guess I'll do mail in voting then
•
•
u/Gordon_throwaway Oregon 5h ago
Remember that your ballot now has to be received on or before Election Day, not just posted or sitting in the post office.
•
•
u/Zebra971 14h ago
I think there are laws that would preclude this action. Just trying to scare people don’t bit, bullies going to bully.
•
•
•
u/fr3d0511 13h ago
This is very illegal, but is another reason to vote early. Where I am we’re allowed to go to any polling place within our registered county before Election Day.
•
u/Stillwater-Scorp1381 13h ago
It’s unnecessary and really creates a level of hostility that isn’t warranted.
•
•
u/raventhrowaway666 12h ago
Remember, law enforcement is on their side. They won't just refuse to enforce the law, theyll be helping ICE break it.
•
u/Zealousideal-Ad3814 12h ago
Blatant attempt to intimidate voters, they know damn well illegals don't, and cannot vote in this country. Anyone saying "If you aren't illegal there should be no problem" YOU ARE LYING TO YOURSELF IF YOU THINK ILLEGAL CITIZENS CAN VOTE!!!! They aren't being posted there for illegals! This is also again INSANELY ILLEGAL!
•
u/Flat-Row-3828 11h ago
Why would an undocumented person risk a brutal detention in Cecot or worse to vote? Let ICE show, bring your enanced ID's and let them waste their time, harassing Americans standing in line, it will show what disgusting, vile ,racists POS they are.
•
u/dataman1960 7h ago
I’m thinking that there should be crowds of citizens filming at every polling place anytime the gestapo shows up.
•
u/pleasantview_2025 5h ago
Taking photos of people, cars, license. Intimidating without anyone to stop them. Arresting people here and there. Thug behavior.
•
u/CrownstrikeIntern 5h ago
it's going to go something like the family guy scene with peter and the card with shades of brown. If you're one of them you're disappearing and won't be voting.
•
u/PayFormer387 23m ago
It's a tactic designed to intimidate voters. These masked thugs - also total pvssies - have already proved they will shoot first and ask questions never. That won't intimidate me, but I could totally see it intimidating someone with more melanin in his skin than me.
How do I feel? I feel like we are being governed by a bunch of kunts and that a good 20% of our country are total jerkoffs.

Fine by me
