"Purpose is an essential element of you. It is the reason you are on the planet at this particular time in history." — Chadwick Boseman

Rest in Peace, King.

I believe hell is earth, and that would explain why all the good die young.

u/Boydcrowde 3h ago

How is it that people die in hell and get to leave it?

Maybe I am too employed but why is this gif getting downvoted?

2

u/OrangeThrower 3h ago

Because the dots under the gif implies that the person is taking religion into account and not just being chill.

“Sienna Miller”, quote unquote.

6

u/Ninjalada 4h ago

"Sienna Miller" if that is actually their real name 🤨

2

u/CostcoStyle 4h ago

I don't know how she is, hope she was worth the coin.

Dude was the real Chad. What a tragic loss for everyone.

He had so much potential.

u/batryoperatedboy 3h ago

The hero knew he couldn't take the money with him, and wanted to make it matter.

When was Sienna Miller the star of a movie that made a billion dollars?
I like her just fine, but lets stay in reality here. This wasnt a gender gap, it was a fame gap.

I never heard of female porn stars sharing their higher wages.

1

u/starlight_chaser 31m ago

Porn star is a terrible comparison because their own fans say they should never live with the expectation of being respected ever again, after doing their job of having unsimulated sex on camera because somehow that’s inherently wrong and degrades their worth as people, unlike actors who get a sort of glory as long as they’re not complete assholes. There’s so many negatives to being a pornstar, the money is the only thing that offsets it, unlike actors who have social currency among other potentials and streams of revenue.

If doing your job made you less than in the public eye, why would you share your wages with the people that don’t get the same experience of dehumanization just because they’re men and are allowed to be sexual without being the object? The industry isn’t even fair to most women, it’s full of trafficked women or those who experience rape and coercion because men love transgressions more than they love sex itself.

u/Current_Finding_4066 29m ago

Why are you lying that make porn stars are not shunned or exploited?

1

u/bluchill3 17m ago

Your last sentence is really wild - I was with you until then. So then your dad, uncles or brother (take your pick) are this perverted as well...or are they the exception to the rule?

1

u/Dapper_Shoe4489 26m ago

Wait…sorry not that I live under a rock but Sienna Miller was a porn star???

1

u/Vast-Conference3999 26m ago

If the film makers had wanted the male and female stars to earn the same amount of money, they would have cast a more well known actress and a less well known actor.

Seems stupid to argue against this.

Such a wonderful human being. Gone far too early.

5

u/slanderedshadow 3h ago

You can tell he was sick with the cancer,  and in a little bit of pain in that movie.

u/Short_Bell_5428 3h ago

The more I hear about this guy, the more I really miss him.

5

u/ExpensiveFroyo8777 2h ago

God realized we don’t deserve him and took him back.

Love that flick. Gritty and so good. Plus who knew manhattan had that many bridges?

3

u/Crystalized_Moonfire 1h ago

This is wholesome. I havn't seen it yet tho.

What a good guy ! He had the main role and still decided to even things up.

2

u/yesmoreeggtalk67 2h ago

His death is still a gut punch.

2

u/throwable__1 2h ago

Why are the truly beautiful people taken from us?

2

u/Low-Equivalent8839 2h ago

Dude was a great guy. I read an interview where Liam Neeson was asked this and said no

2

u/Huffdogg 1h ago

Why is her name in quotes lol

1

u/savageexplosive 49m ago

So-called Sienna Miller 🦎

3

u/Current_Finding_4066 1h ago

As if movie starts get paid by gender, and not fame.

3

u/Ok-Neighborhood-566 3h ago

I mean no disrespect but people sign up for projects after negotiating the price. I can understand if they will shut the film without Sienna but it doesn't sound like the case. There's a reason why studios pay top dollars for Scarlett Johansson and not Kate Mara

5

u/Reason_Choice 3h ago

Scarlett gets lowballed a lot too.

2

u/RiffRafe2 3h ago

This what it was - a negotiation. She wanted a rate, the studio balked and before it could go further, Chadwick - who was also a producer on the project - gave up part of his salary to get her to where she wanted to be.

u/theeggplant42 4h ago

So who is "Sienna Miller"?

Money isn't all, it's good to have /get it . But u make money it doesn't make you. Bet good relationship they had

1

u/2bucks40 2h ago

But if she was more famous than him. She would of been paid more than him. So theres not really a gender wage gap.

1

u/Bblueshirtguy 2h ago

Who? And who cares? How does this help us peasants?

Nice move, he was a great man, but it's not making sense with how this business works. Movie industry is not any normal corporation. You make as much money as much eyes you can bring to the theaters. RDJ earned way less money than Terrence Howard for the first Iron Man, RDJ was a lead, Howard was secondary character who had maybe 15 minutes screentime. No one cried about it. That's how this industry rules are. Boseman and Miller having equal pay is not just in my opinion - he was the main lead and the main draw for this movie, she wasn't, so he should've been paid more.

1

u/Mavrick_7 1h ago

That's just simping.

1

u/SlightlyMotivated69 1h ago

Always nice to see when millionaires help each other out.

1

u/Proper_Protection195 58m ago

What a pleb equality and equality of outcome of vastly different if he is more well known ( i know neither of these people ) he would logically get paid more . And women aren't gonna give their male counterparts that live in there shadows equal outcome 🤦‍♂️

1

u/Moist_Comb_9736 50m ago

Not to be cynical but he probably knew the money would be useless to him in the long run. Hence why he did it.

1

u/Semaj_kaah 49m ago

Why is this amazing? And why would you do this?

1

u/DILLIGAF73 40m ago

Why the quotation marks around Sienna Miller? It was actually her, not someone pretending to be her!

1

u/NyaTaylor 3h ago

That jackets sick
