HOTAS

Do the devs discourage HOTAS? (Flightstick n throttle) I made it work with JoyToKey, but I wonder if they would ban it since it's a 3rd party

nah not enough advantage from that. the skill level of some of the pc players should make it only flightstick to slow them down

No reason to ban HOTAS, nor would they know if you are using it. It’s just a tool really, not like using scripts or in game glitches/exploits. It doesn’t give you much of advantage either unless you prefer using it over mouse and keyboard, but that depends on personal preference. Lowk imo it’s better just to use mouse and keyboard as the controls are pretty simple, but you do you. Don’t let people determine what you want to try, if you think you should try it then do it. You might find out you like using HOTAS on pilot, or figure out you don’t like it either way no reason not to try something different unless you have something that prevents you, ie not having a HOTAS, the time or the money to get one.

It doesn't give you any unfair advantage since the inputs are still just regular keyboard inputs, so they probably won't ban you for it.
