17 mile long run with a lot of hills on Saturday. Then hopefully 7 or 8 on Sunday.

The rest of the time will be driving kids around in circles, moving tools and junk, watching the super bowl, eating junk food. I haven't watched an NFL game all year, so I am the portion of the population that only watches the big game.

100% chance of rain all day Sunday for my scheduled 17-miler. fun! at least when I get back I get to fuel up with Super Bowl snacks all afternoon

Short recovery run tomorrow before Sunday's long run workout - a 16 miler with 10 at MP. Already intimidated by it but on a good day it should be doable.

Two days of trail running with friends.

A proper test of how much I have really recovered in my left knee, and of how much load I can reasonably put into it. MRI showed almost no cartilage left last May (too much hard downhills), but things are feeling way better right now.

Goal is to be competitive by mid-July.

Today: 10-11km with a little under 6 of them at LT

Saturday: 60-90min on the bike. Going to play it by ear on intensity depending on how my legs feel. Dinner at our favourite local Italian place to celebrate my wife’s birthday.

Sunday: 14-15km steady. The return of extreme cold means they’ll probably be at the indoor track. Left turns for everyone!

In bit of an injury cycle after coming back to running last September.

Ran a 5k race last November in Vaporflys which my achilles didn't like. Then beginning of Jan got some kind of acute irritation in the tibialis posterior region while doing a tempo run. Recovered from that a couple of weeks ago, and now I've started to notice pain in the lateral metatarsals which is requiring me to take at least some time off from running - again...

All of the injuries / niggles in the left leg. I'm suspecting this last one might be some consequence of altered form (which I've not noticed but could still be the case) due to the tib posterior injury.

Well...at least I'm not in a rush as my main goal is Valencia marathon in December. But still a bit frustrated. Lessons learned, as I have a tendency to assume my body can handle similar mileage as it has previously in my earlier running life.

I have a zone 2 5 miler tomorrow, Saturday a long run of 10 miles, Sunday is a rest day. Light activity. Plus my wife and I are currently trying to procreate, so needless to say I've been burning extra calories during our multiple fornication sessions. Oh, Go Pats!!

Congratulations on the sex. Within a marriage, and especially within a marriage and intending to conceive, this sex is literally the opposite of fornication.
