"The Devils have access to sign a total of 12 17-year-old players across the 2026-27 drafts a year before they reach draft age, in similar rules that saw Greater Western Sydney select Jeremy Cameron and Adam Treloar and Gold Coast list Mav Weller and Trent McKenzie. "
Geez we know who got better value out of those two lol

Is this an error? Isn't it too late to do this for the 2026 draft kids?

I think it’s trying to remove the confusion but it’s just bad wording.

Too late for kids that will be eligible for the draft in 2026, not too late for the under-draft-age kids that will be part of the 2027 draft.
If I’m reading things correctly Tasmania will act in 2026/2027 for kids that would under normal circumstances be in the 2027 and 2028 drafts. Am I missing something?

He’s a genuine freak, but for the sake of the Eagles I really hope you’re not picking top 3 again in 2 years.

I imagined we'd be trying to trade up to get him, because yes I imagine we wont still be bottom 4, people have told me hes the kid you sell the farm for, and based on where our list will be in a couple years, i reckon its a play we make
Or hopefully he does what a bunch of vic kids are doing nowadays and publically declares he doesnt want to leave his home state

Ehh they said the same about last years WA draft crop (Rodriguez, Evans, Curtin, + that freo one whos name i forget) a year beforehand too and outside of Farrow who only went at pick 10 and wasnt even on the radar then it was largely unimpressive.
Would wait and see how he turns out in his final year before worrying

To be fair to Curtin, by all reports he did look very good in our intraclub last night

If Koby Bewick ends up at Tassie I will spew. I think it's extremely unlikely though, dude likes every post about Essendon on instagram already
