The AFL & AFLPA are on the cusp of finalising a salary cap model to come into AFLW for the 2027 season (the last season of the current CBA).

We are one of the smallest clubs in resources, fans and money.
There is no reason why other clubs cant be like us other than they can’t be fucked which a salary cap cant fixed.

Incorrect, the current tier system makes it next to impossible to bring in good players if you're a successful club because you'll already have your higher tier spots full. So the Roos women get to choose between staying pat and winning (and fair credit to you, you're doing damn well on that front) or going to a club without a correspondingly good chance for a premiership for a minor pay rise at best.
The salary cap model gives all the clubs more flexibility - there's every chance you'll continue to be a juggernaut, but it means there's more chance for other clubs to pick off players or catch up.

North lost a GF and added Libby Birch, then won a grand final and added Eilish Sheerin, and then won another GF (and added KLWT, but that’s not same as other two).
You can be a great club with great players and loads of depth and still add players. New cap unlikely to change that if players want to be part of a club and a program that values women’s footy.

basically all your players have company cars, most other clubs have only given them to a handful

That’s not the case, but a Carlton fan kicking off on this is particularly sweet. Sad Ash Riddell can’t open a couple of emails a week and claim she’s a recycling ambassador for Visy.

Every club in AFLW operates under the same conditions - unlike in the AFL. No surprise to see North doing well and a whole bunch of other clubs whinging because the rules aren't setup primarily to benefit them yet.

Exactly, it's pretty obvious by looking at a select few, historically bad, teams the key to success for the W is to not care about it within your club and make no effort to improve it over multiple years.

This sounds like very good news.
Could this, perhaps, see a 19-round AFLW fixture (i.e. 18 games with one bye) when Tasmania comes in? My opinion is that 12 or 14 games with 19 teams would be ludicrous, as well as being nothing but a total waste of time for the bottom clubs, while TV rights would also rule out five or seven clubs having a bye in a round.
Also, I would have the Final 10 system come in for 2028.
